Brian Moffatt lives in Minneapolis which is in a neighboring state to mine. Says they defunded the police, so every time 9-1-1 was called in the following months, you’d get a social worker, or a medic if you’re lucky.
Part of the problem is that there's not enough people wanting to be police officers, especially after being disrespected like they have been the past few years. This makes it tougher to higher good canadites.
Speaking Truth. There is so much misinformation that people blindly believe. If you want to fix a problem. You must start with accurate data. . What’s the Yearly count of Unarmed innocent Black men killed in America by white officers? The answer is 2 men in 2019 What does BLM claim? Every Blk man killed by a white cop. That’s two completely different problems. 1000 killed by police 2019. The majority deaths are from shoot outs.
Mike - I'd appreciate if you understood the process behind any technologies that are currently on the market, especially within regards to the government / state which tender out MASSIVE contracts to corporations. With regards to body cameras, these do not always work. I've worked with these cameras before and they have many flaws (Data goes missing when they're docked etc) - it's important to recognise that. We need more solutions and investment when it comes to our hardware being used for these circumstances (PEOPLE AND COMPANIES DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THIS EQUIPMENT, THEY WANT THE NEW SOFTWARE BUT HAVE THE OLD HARDWARE WHICH JUST DOESN'T WORK!). Elaborating, many companies have to deploy infrastructure such as QA and so on, many of these police department's don't even bother to research their equipment, they get companies to act on their behalf to get the product through the door. They tender out the job and take whoever gives the best price, even if the product is lacklustre. Trust me, these products have MAJOR issues from missing frames, overheating and some of them just plain don't even work. I've dealt with CCTV issues from hardware to software and automation in QA environments. There are teams actively working on these things around the clock and it's just not as simple as we'd ever like it to be. I actually remember one of my first jobs where I was handed a CCTV recorder, the thing didn't even work! They sold it for millions even though I detailed every single flaw and bug within the hardware, firmware and software. I could go on and on, it's just important to recognise the logistics that go behind the scenes in something as simple as a keypad on a door to a CCTV camera to a body-worn camera. Overall, I recognise this may not be your speciality but I know you've worked corporate dude and you've experienced scenarios that I haven't, but as many are aware of these limitations - it is important to do your research if you are going to discuss solutions. TL;DR - Government / Police etc. Do not invest in their equipment, tender out the specifications and get the cheapest bid they can. Usually blows up in their face.
Make a law that states every police interaction has to be recorded to be legal... while putting "most" of the responsibility on the police officer for the events that transpire.... I'm sure it can also be possible to have a third party observing the interaction live.... with the ability to call the officer to a "stalemate" positions when the interaction is deemed unlawful. The police need supervision.... because it's clear the supervisors and fellow police officers aren't enough #stopgangmetality
I think every cop should be tested for there mental state also if a cop starts to fill depression the should take a break from work . Some cops aren’t mentally stable and shouldn’t be able to qualify
Also making it harder to be a cop. It’s WAY to easy to become a cop that a racist can just go through a couple drills in a small amount of time and boom, they have a badge and a gun
Solution: Cops should have body cameras but there should be a website where citizens can access the footage at all time. Wherever and whenever they want.
I like the idea but having proof of shooting innocent people won’t necessarily stop violence, because there are police officers that don’t care about whether they are seen or not
Please read 👉🏼👉🏼 like too You know what I understood about this episode is let’s train them like if there going to be swat members those from swat can de escalate like no other they be having stand off for hours upon hours

Disrespectful for barbers “they need a license” bro they have a razor blade at your neck 😂
Solution: Cops should have body cameras but there should be a website where citizens can access the footage at all time. Wherever and whenever they want.
That could go wrong easily…
