Complete guide to Upper Kachura & Lower Kachura Lakes | DEOSAI | MINIMARG | SKARDU Series.

During the month of August 2022 we visited the Skardu valley along with Astore & Minimarg. This video is all about the Upper & Lower Kachura Lakes.
1. Lower Kachura Lake (Urdu: زیریں کچورا جھیل), also known as Shangrila Lake (شنگریلا جھیل), is a lake located near the city of Skardu in Gilgit−Baltistan, Pakistan. Situated at a height of 2,500 metres (8,200 ft), it has had an operational resort on its bank since 1983
2. Upper Kachura Lake is of clear water and has a depth of 70 metres (230 ft). In summer it has a temperature of 15 °C (59 °F). In winter the surface is frozen solid. The upper Indus River flows nearby at a lower elevation. The beauty of the Upper Kachura Lake is almost untampered and mostly unexplored by travelers, due to lack of infrastructure owing to its rough terrain.
I visited the Skardu & Astore in the month of August 2022. This video is of my 4th day in which we visited the Shigar Fort, Sarfranga Cold Desert.
we spent the night in skardu and in next video we will travel towards the Uper & Lower Kachura Lake.
