- This is a video documentary film of our family trekking adventure to the Nepalese Himalayas in June/July, 2023. Our goal was to take our 8 year old son (Jasper) and 11 year old daughter (Kasha) to experience the incredible culture and landscape of the Khumbu and Gokyo valleys. We chose to do this trek in the monsoon season, when the trails are quiet and the kids were off school (well, mostly off school anyway). We also chose to do the trek unguided and unsupported with the kids carrying most of their own gear. On our 15 day trek we would cover over 140km with about 8,000m of elevation gain …a loss.
