- There are four nominees left in the running to be named Canada's Worst Driver. Their first challenge is to do a straight reverse one kilometer in length, the longest reversing challenge ever on the show. There are several sections, the side barriers made of different materials and the lane being differing widths throughout the course.

damn, I would just have so much fun joining this with my very own car, which is a manual transmission (aka stick shift)
I really love reversing, but I prefer using the side mirrors, as I can sit more relaxed and focus more on turning accuracy. I like to turn as smooth as possible
the ice corner is a fun challenge as well, well worth doing in safe places at the beginning of each winter for experience/training before a real situation might happen
I believe the passengers should be removed from the cars. Rehab is to build the driver's self awareness and confidence, the have to be independent of their passenger.
well, both yes and no, the passengers might have a good influence on the driver, but the passengers in this series might not be the best ones. I would probably be a better passenger, as I like to teach others how to drive smooth and comfy, but still know how to be prepared for mostly anything, and react fast, and still as smooth as possible
when I have passengers, I tend to care more about their preferences for how smooth the car should be controlled, so if they accept "bad" driving, I drive as if I'm alone, but if people feel dizzy, are hurt, or prefer smoother driving, I adapt to their needs or preferences
im just confused about the way you teach to reverse isnt that a rlly old way to reverse i learned to use all 3 mirrors wen reversing and not to turn around
They taught the mirror technique too. They prefer the back window one for driving straight backwards and the mirrors for maneuvering, like parking.
@@xdtjv2843 I would never prefer turning myself around for reversing, even for straight lines, and trust me, I love reversing with my manual transmission car. I've been having fun with reversing using only the mirrors for years, like turning my car to reverse back into a whole street. I've even trained on reversing with a trailer, mostly just for fun
But how often is Wayne told to shut up and he just doesn't. Do what's best for your wife for gods sake!

umm, I'm not saying you said something stupid, but I think you should fix your spelling, to make sure it doesn't mean something bad
anyway, I would like to see them doing the challenges with a manual, but I wouldn't let them drive my car! I could do the challenges with my car, tho, a 2011 VW Passat, manual transmission
I absolutely love manual, it just feels better to actually know how to manage the car properly, instead of having a gearbox that might not shift gear when needed, or might do so when it's not needed

@@nikichashadow I got my license for car with trailer (BE) recently, and I had to drive a 2023 VW Passat Alltrack with automatic, so I told the "sensor" (the person who decide if I pass or not) that I'm not used to automatic 😂
the gearbox was horrible to use for trailer, that's for sure. it prevented going down to 1st gear before it was absolutely required to keep going uphill at slow speed, but it easily went down to 2nd gear when I wanted it to stay in 3rd gear
