Hwang Hee-chan makes tteokbokki himself and invites everyone to Sunchang and Busan, cities famous for their Gochujang and fish cakes.

Tteokbokki Ingredients
• Soy sauce 2 tbsp
• Gochujang(Korean red chilli pasted 3tbsp)
• Fine chili powder
• Sugar 2tbsp/ Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
• Korean fish cakes 250g/ Water 250ml
• Spring onions, Onions and Cabbage(sliced) 250g
• Korean rice cakes(sliced) 250g
Tteokbokki Recipe
• Step 1 : Make the chilli paste(Mix the gochujang with soy sauce, chilli powder and sugar)
• Step 2 : Add the chilli paste, sliced rice cakes and fish cakes to the boiled water.
• Step 3: Continue cooking until the rice cakes become soft and the sauce gains the desired consistency.
• Step 4: Lastly, sprinkle the sesame seeds on top.

Hee-Chan is such a humble guy and a great ambassador for South Korea. Not only can he play football but also cook! I'd love to see him cook my favourite dish Korean BBQ next time.

My favourite Korean food is bibimbap. I started cooking it from a kit I got and now I try a do it myself. I enjoyed watching your video, there's are so many great Korean foods to try that look amazing.

Tteokbokki is one of my favourites and one of the first dishes I tried in our Korean restaurant here in Sheffield although sometimes it can be a bit to spicy for me 🥵
Dakgalbi has got to be my favourite Korean dish! Especially when it has tteok and mozzarella cheese! Heavenly!!

Tteokbokki was my intro to Korean food! Love the different textures in it and the deep red. I’ve never been able to replicate it well enough at home so I’ll have to try this recipe 🥰 만드는 법을 가르쳐줘서 감사합니다!
I love tteokbokki, but often can't make it right. Either my sauce is wrong or tteok hasn't got the right texture. Will try this recipe later. And this was really nice video. ❤😊

Interesting, I didn't know there was so much variety of Korean food.
It’s looks delicious, My daughters love Tteokbokki it’s so easy to make and they also enjoy the instant version. I’m a fan of Korean fried chicken when we were in Myeongdong last year we got some sticky chicken from the food vendors and it has some lovely chewy rice cakes in it. Looking forward to visiting Korea again in Spring.
