    I just finished explaining fallacies to my students. Ofosu Kwakye was only engaging in fallacious arguments. Ad Hominem: by attacking the person of President Akufo Addo. Red Herring by diverting issues. Strawman's by trying to look for weakness in the system instead of taking blame for his party lack of cohesiveness

    This is what the NDC would be telling Ghananians in the event that we vote for them.
    They would always revert to the fact that NPP is to blame for all the economic woes and we the electorate have brought it upon ourselves. I don't know what else Ghananians can do. It is becoming hopeless and may degenerate into something we all don't want. Ghananians are tired of Akuffo Addo and his foolishness but more frustrated with the NDC parliamentarians. They must be punished in 2024, imo.

That the NDC has blown a great opportunity to show the Ghanaian electorate that they are a better alternative to this thievery administration of the NPP is an understatement. It's heartbreaking when one considers the fact that they had the numbers. How and why on God's magnificent earth can a party waiting to come to power blow such an opportunity, if not for the same reason (corruption) that has brought our dear country to its present state. Something doesn't seem to make sense to me. The mess we are in now as a country can be attributed, partly, to all of us, and we must take responsibility where fit. Let me explain further. We have a ruling government which does not think of Ghanaians, and constantly inflicts economic injuries which is detrimental to the populace at large. We, as a people, MUST hold the government to account. The opposition has a responsibility in checking the ruling party to do always do what is in the interest of the people of Ghana. The populace, as well, has a responsibility to demand respect and accountability, seeing those we put in places of authority are our 'servants', or more formally ministers. We cannot blame just the opposition for what is happening, but most of the blame should go to those inflicting the injury, and consequently bring them to book, and reminding them that they are there to do our bidding as a people.
    Sadly, most Ghanaians have a distorted view of governance. Instead of seeing governance like we do in our business firms, we treat governance as if we have no hand in the day-to-day activities of government, and that we are only there to cast votes and go back to sleep. We, the people have the absolute power, and not the leaders. We decide who leads and who does not, and so we must also be responsible in choosing the right leaders based on what they can offer. We do not hire employees who do not qualify according to which direction we want our company should be heading.
    Shame on the ruling government, shame on the opposition, and shame on us. Let's act responsibly before we totally wreck our own nation

      @bocasdeltoro8670 Před rokem

      I agree with much of what you have said, but most oppositions of small and large democracies are only interested in advancing the agenda of their party. Not the betterment of the country. They only say so.
      Now, this politician has so little respect for the office of the presidency and of the will of the people, that he sees nothing wrong in appearing on a national platform to refer to the president as useless, and did not get a repremand from the modertator.
      The man or woman that sits in the position of power as president of Ghana, was placed there by the people of Ghana. Disrespecting them is disrespecting the whole population.
