When I was 19 I got a summer job working at a front desk and some of the older people who worked at the company would give me unsolicited life advice and some of them would say PLEASE do not get pregnant at this point in your life at your age. And after a few people said that to me I was confused why they would say that specifically to me, randomly, and one of my relatives said they definitely were projecting their own fears onto me and someone in their life likely got pregnant young and they saw them miss out on opportunities that would have had otherwise. But that it had nothing to do with me personally. This video reminded me of that.
Also growing up my older sister would say "x,y,z, etc. may happen" and I would always say "just b/c it happened to you doesn't mean it will happen to me." Ahhh memorieszzz

@@mallowhawk294 I met a lot of people like that growing up. I also saw some very miserable people who ended up like that. You shouldn't have let that bother you if you were never on that path to begin with. "Life advice" and "fears" aren't the same.
I know a guy who suffered a stroke in 2015 and lost his speech, 6 years later he's almost complete with 1st LP in 11 years and his speech is back, don't give up look doubt in the face and crush it!
Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time.

Telling you the truth of God and not taking the pills that you took is not being envious. Understand that making it to the top (in man's sight) is usually the direct opposite of making it to the top (in God's Sight). I would rather write and speak only the Truth with zero compromise and not sell one book, than to betray an entire race of people to please those who are racist against us just to fill my bank account and to be on someone's Best Selling book list. But as you dismiss racism as only being a leftist or "black" people thing, and constantly attack those who look like you, that becomes a personal attack. Like, as I listened to that guy Brandon the other night say that the people in the African American race who were not at high levels financially were the children of crack mothers, that wicked speech really upset me. I know poor families whose parents had nothing to do with crack. My entire family has always been hardworking, and I have never touched crack nor seen it in person. My blessed and dear Mother has never done crack. So when that wicked man sought to increase his financial gain by belittling the mothers of people in the same race class of him to appease racists, it really upset me. I don't even choose to listen to him again. People should know that as African American males, other mothers are important to us. So to make those cheap insults like Trump and his supporter Brandon, is very very low.
It has now, unfortunately, become a market to belittle "African Americans" while being African American. It gives no new meaning to the word $ellout.

@@lakendrapeterson3382 it will come don't worry ! We lost everything to a fire and it got to a point where I didn't know what we were gonna do. I really broke down. Then something just said let go and let God. Not to sound cliché but that's exactly what I did. I stopped trying to rent for the sake of hurrying up and getting a place and started working on myself and family. I started getting my credit right. Withing a month I was getting loan approvals and the amounts just kept going up. Being stuck in a hotel for 3 months really humbled my family and I and made us appreciate everything we had. God took it all away and gave it back 10 times over. Just keep pushing. I promise you will get there if you continue to have faith. I almost gave up then I just kept telling my 1 year old daughter "Daddy's gonna get you a new house" and the Lord showed me the way to make it happen. He will never give you more than you can bare and I am a true testament to that belief !

I have tears coming down my eyes. I was once told that my voice was the best kept secret in Syracuse. Since that time, my voice has changed. I fill as though my time has passed with singing but I have begun to write. The time that people spend being negative instead of being positive is horrendous. Thank you so much for these positive words from everyone. I wish "the Crab mentality" could be crushed. We all need to look at the gifts others have around us and help them to cultivate them. To this day I remember when I caught the bus to apply for college after I graduated high school.. I was living in the hood and the people there was talking trash telling me I wasnt "smart enough to learn around white folks" ..
I graduate with my MBA in May, and start my doctorates in August. Life is funny,
The same people that was talking down on me for applying to a community college are the same people thats still living in the hood
