Watched the Seattle portion three times. It's been six years, but I still moan when I see those flowers from Pike Place Market. Stunningly beautiful! We had a week of perfect weather and a special time for our anniversary.
Have you checked any vacuums in the house for the onyx piece that fell out of your grandma's ring? I lost a ring before and eventually found it when I emptied out the bag inside the vacuum we had at the time!
Good idea! I pretty sure I seen that she bought a robot vac so *maybe* it picked it up?? I know mine has grabbed a few things here and there that were dropped without realizing and since it auto empties, I wouldn’t know unless I cut the bag open. Fingers crossed she finds it!

I usually never comment on videos but wanted to pop by to say I am loving your content lately. I think we are a similar age (early to mid 30s) and from the same part of the US (I'm from the Seattle area) and I feel like we have been on parallel paths since I have been watching your videos (since college days!) and I just moved into my own little mountain home and I just feel SO happy to see you thriving and continuing to grow.

Ok so random but I swear by it, regarding the bacteria in your armpits and making them smell… I wash my armpits with the orange colored bar soap from dial that is called gold antibacterial. A lot of doctors will tell patients to wash their body with that before a surgery because it kills all bacteria. My armpits stay sooo much fresher than when I used to only use body wash to clean them.
Also you can use Hibiclens. It's OTC.
We had this in the shower for my husbands new tattoo. I was using other body washes and it wasn’t fully washing my armpits. So I tried the dial one day and now I use it daily just to wash my pits and lady areas instead of scented soap. So I can confirm this is true!😂🙌🏻

Girl! I started doing my own nails during Covid. Now my home office looks like a nail salon. I am not a nail tech. I work in insurance. 🤣 But I got OBSESSED with doing my own nails. So fun and cost effective to do it yourself!

Walmart is KILLING it in the fashion game recently!! I love the Scoop brand baby tees for layers with midi & maxi skirts. The No Bo tanks have been my go to for affordable layering since middle school. And the only thing that’s not changed much in price in SO many years! 😂😂

Walmart has definitely stepped their clothing game up. I never used to glance at their clothing section, but my store was recently renovated and I’ve been impressed with their selection.
I just moved to Oregon two months ago from Kansas City, MO. Hood river is really fun. Cannon beach was my favorite so far, but we still have a million places to explore. I love Oregon, but I don’t know anyone, which sucks.
So sorry to hear about losing the onyx in your grandmother’s ring! Hope you can get it replaced. I would recommend calling some antique/vintage jewelry stores first to get some info about the best way to replace it.

As people that see dermatologists regularly- Yes the benzoyl peroxide as body wash is 100% true. Been doing this for years. But we only use 4% . It’s strong and can bleach towels . Be cautious of that part 😮
For my under arms, I use my cosrx aha toner, you can use any aha toner of your choice, and it has done miracles. I put some on a cotton pad and wipe my armpits after the shower every 4-6 days, depending on the season. It keeps the smell away for days.
Benzyl peroxide works. But also do a few salicylic acid scrubs or wash per week. Gets the dead skin to come off. The cerave one works and is affordable. Plus exfoliates arm bumps.
Love the walmart haul!!!! They all look so cute on you!! And one of the few influencers that I know actually likes a deal and isn't just telling us that they do. 😂

Anyways, i switched my yt account so i dont know exactly how many years but, i was there on your leopard "night vest" (cant remember how to say that in English) era! What i LOVE about you is that you always talk about things that we can relate to, you are down to earth and you dont only show high end stuff, you always give your little "tricks" to save money etc! Over the years ( i am now 40) i found myslef silently unsubscribing (is that even a word?! 😂) from my favorite youtuber because i couldnt relate anymore and it didnt make me feel good to watch them. I found it so affirming when you said that Uber and Lyft here in Seattle have gotten ridiculously expensive. That’s how I have felt since I moved back from California, but I wasn’t sure if I was just imagining it or something. Glad to know it’s not just me who feels it!

I’ve heard that face acids can work on underarm odor also and the older ladies or anyone wanting smoother body skin using body lotions with 12% glycolic acid is a game changer for dry skin and has improved texture my body skin so much. You do feel a slight tingle when first using but skin adjusts & I don’t feel it at all now.

Your nails look fantastic!
Been doing my gel nails since 2012. My method, I’ll do my four fingers on one hand first, leaving my thumbs unpainted to clean off edges of the nail beds in case the polish spreads to the skin. I do a base layer, cure, a very thin 1st layer making sure I cover the entire nail with polish, cure, and depending on the nail polish go in with a second layer, cure, no wipe top layer, cure. Repeat for my second hand then proceed the same steps for my two thumbs. I personally do not like having my polish more than two coats of color so that when it grows out it’s not as obvious. But then again depends on the polish, some polishes may be streaky or thick or thin. Hope you get your system down!

I never thought much of Walmart's clothes, but I needed to refresh my tank top stash for summer and got a rainbow of colors for less than $30. They're all pretty decent quality. I also like their Joyspun pajama shorts- cute patterns and pockets. Can't say I'd be willing to wear any of their clothes out of the house, but they're certainly just fine to wear at home.

I'll be ordering a few of the bramis to sleep in. I always go up a few sizes so it's really comfortable, so I can walk around the house in my pjs when we have family visiting. I highly recommend Glycolic Acid for underarms. Panoxyl, no matter how well you think you've rinsed it off, can discolor fabric.

I've been using that benzoyl peroxide tip for a little over a year now and it has been a game changer!!
I also had to do some reorganizing of jewelry and what I found was a jewelry cabinet on amazon, i hung mine on the wall, its a smaller size but they have options that you can hang over doors, might be worth looking into if this doesnt work out
I’ve been doing the benzoyl peroxide trick for my underarms since I saw that on TikTok and it’s definitely helped me a lot!
I also use panoxyl under my arms and it does work. Will stain your towels or anything else you wipe your skin with so make sure to wash off thoroughly.
I bet as soon as you get the ring made you’ll find the old onyx!!

Also, I wanted to say that I very much relate to that feeling of "guilt" that holds you back from being completely transparent about what's going on in your life, including your accomplishments. My therapist helped me realize that for me it's very much related to an overall lack of self confidence. I think that if we build up our confidence, our self-assurance, we probably wouldn't even think twice about sharing our experiences and accomplishments because the approval or disapproval of other's wouldn't matter to us. Easier said than done, of course lol, but realizing it's not just guilt gave me hope that it's something I can work on. Thanks for sharing!

About the benzoyl peroxide…. It works! But you need to make sure you rinse REALLY well. Obviously your under arms, but your entire body. I’ve accidentally bleached clothes using this under my under arms thinking that I rinsed really well. I actually stopped doing this because I bleached so many things! Just be careful
Glycolic acid also works and you won’t have to worry about the bleaching! You can just put it on a cotton pad and use it likes it’s a toner for your underarms
I like using the benzoyl peroxide 4% wash instead of 10% cause I feel like there's less bleaching

I was literally wondering if you ever found the onyx piece yesterday. I’ve been wearing my late grandma’s first wedding band since 1998. I was hoping you’d find it. Watch… you’ll find it months later after you’ve replaced the stone.
So I got both the EOS lotions (based on your other video) Vanilla Cashmere and Coconut Waters and there is just something about the vanilla that gets to me. I wish it did not have caramel notes. 😩 I paired it with the Finery body mist from Target in the scent Sweet on the Outside and game changer! Pairs beautifully. Try it out!

Hi! This is a bit unrelated but you brought up your Seeattle itinerary and I was wondering if you have tips/suggestions/etc for how to prepare an itinerary for foreign countries. I'm going to Japan for the first time and I'll be there for two weeks (one week Tokyo, one week is still tbd) and was wondering how to plan out my itinerary and would love your trips.
I haven't travelled internationally since before covid (used to travel once a year) so I feel a little anxious but mostly just really excited!

That benzoyl peroxide does work really well for underarm odor. However, when benzoyl peroxide gets warm (even just warmth from a steamy shower is enough to alter the chemical composition) the chemical changes to benzene, which is a known carcinogen. I stopped using it a couple of weeks ago when I learned that info.
Labmuffinbeautyscience just did a video on how that’s misinformation and fear-mongering. The testing conditions that lab did were more like constantly being in a hot car on the hottest day (like, constant, not cooling down at night, not a cooler day, but constant non-stop hottest summer day for months maybe longer?). And then for that level of benzene to be bad, you’d have to inhale multiple bottles of face wash a day, every day. Because it’s inhaling benzene constantly that’s bad. You get WAY more benzene just by driving around and breathing exhaust fumes.
Plus, then soon after (or right before?) a company released their “shelf stable benzene peroxide wash,” and the timing of that is just really sus. 👀
