I was a stammerer too but now i improved by this simple process, do this everyday for some days you will definately see the good results 1) take the any good few sentences which you fell its hard to say, may be 5 to 6 lines /and i also recommend make your own facial video) video making is for your own analysis. 2)read them in your most comfortable pitch and sound level in your own way. 3)after reading them you will know where and when at certain point of time you stuck. you can also underline at what words do you stuck which reading and you can also refer your video where and how do you stuck. 4)now practise reading the same sentences at very slow pace. while you read slow, you gradually pay attention of ur own throat muscles, how they fuctions with the combination of our own throat and mouth muscles to make a audible speech. there is also a breathing process involved in the play. You just need to observe your own body. Slow paced reading make you understand how do ur throat muscles actually works while you say variety of words. this helps
hepl you to get the better understanding for the process of speech making of ur mouth. My main point in telling you all this is to understand and observe your own throat & mouth, try to get to know why do they function differently for different words. For me, slow reading helped me for better understanding myself. Now i speak more fluently and in some days i even fell its gonna go forever.!!!
I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU GUYS!!

I barely speak, I have a horrible stammer and people tend to have a hard tike understanding me. So I just stay quiet and try to form sentences that require minimum words. Im trying to be more social and I cannot do that when im not confident in my voice. I have a..not a soft voice but my voice is low, I guess bc I barely talk, It also tends to go hoarse or to mumbles.

We can't get her to do the exercises which means she whispers and we have to keep saying "what" which drives us mad, and her mad.. I saw this video and like you thought I'd give it a go.. do you know of any others ?

I understand there are some symptoms, like insomnia and constipation, that universally seems to precede all Parkinson's patients DECADES before onset of any tremors.. I wonder if low-voice/mumbling would also fall in that category. Regarding voice-evaluation, is there any in-home objective way of testing one's voice for hypokinetic dysarthria ?
Is there a self-study program that may help with voice strengthening.. abdomen and diaphragm exercises? I've seen the Vocal Function Exercises developed by Joseph Stemple and LVST may help, but I can't find a self-directed program. For example, the Get Loud, Stay Loud program is therapy based?

My speech therapist had me do the sounds of the letters I was stuttering on. Than progressed me to 1 syllable words. Than using words I did well (2 words) say the 3 together. I had to keep this over and over. It took me 3 months of daily practice to do. Best to be done at 1st when no one is around. And relax your body.

Dear Friends...I hv gone through your comments n replies..I was the worst stammerer but now I am on the verge of getting free from this monster..I hv gone through all this breathing and other processes but this will never help u guys. This only calm your nerves thus your speech gets better fr shortwhile but this is nt your permanent solution...your problem is nt speech but the wrong understanding about speech..do u hv ever heard of speech law...speech law is the foundation of speech. Nature has gifted everyone with sound. Then what make difference with normal speaker and stammerer if both hv sound making capacity...The normal speaker involuntarily obey speech law that means sounding and hearing to your own sound...and the stammerer watches words and letters before his eyes and try to pronounce them which is impossible task..rather than paying attention to his sound. Speech means single continuous sound..mouth position forms automatically..don't pay attention to them..second thing is your sensitivity towards your problem...if u want to get free don't pay attention to people that they will laugh at u and don't get annoyed..just pay attention towards sounding and try to keep sound continuous no matter how it goes and control sound with ears and not your inner eye watching words n letters....so from know only sounding and hearing to your own sound and don't get annoyed if anyone laughs at you.just practice to become phlegmatic person who don't get affected by any reaction.....if u guys want to get free mail me at opritesh@gmail.com....I will guide u to get free and tell u from where I hv learned all this.....lastly nothing leads to Good what is not natural....God bless u guys..

Sure why not. If your aim is to mprove breathing support. If you want to improve your speech/articulation then maybe you might need to look at articulation exercises of specific sounds which you want to work on. Placement of tongue and lips will be important since you have cleft. Try to have someone listen to you while you practice to give you feedback too if you can
