    I’m confused on what’s going on here in this story

      I think that’s the point. She’s had a baby and the husband locks her upstairs where she goes into psychosis but ultimately fights/rebukes/rebels against the systematic entrapment.

      She sees herself and then many women ‘trapped behind the wallpaper’ and she frees them in the end, so rather than psychotic she can be seen as a hero.

      Does she kill her husband? Is that his fainting?

      @@chandlerwillis8121 More likely he fainted from shock/surprise at the narrator creeping around the room
