wow this literally makes me feel so seen weirdly. i feel the same way you do about ucsb but with my hometown. i have a few months before i graduate and go to college but i just want you to know that you arenât alone in that feeling. i will sit at school and ask my friends âwhat if i just ceased to existâ. you are so right when you say life is supposed to be happy, not a burden. thank you for saying that. iâm going to carry that with me.
Im so proud of u for choosing yourself time and again. No matter how hard it became, at any given point, u always come back to yourself and give yourself what you truly deserve. School is so draining and ive really been losing motivation too, but this video and community really helped me feel less alone. The amount of comfort and peace this has brought me is insane. I had recently went through this same thing, and I remember crying almost everyday for a month, and never having the motivation to go to classes I would spend all day just sleeping in my dorm room, and just the feeling of being lost, and unhappy even when I went out with friends I ended up moving back home mid-semester. Knowing that I'm not alone in this type of situation makes me so much more excited to go on and do the things that I love in life and that I shouldn't me limited to what other people expect of me, and perceive of my situation. I'm so excited to see all the new and exciting content you're going to be creating in the future

i've definitely been there vanessa! this is my first year in optometry school after taking a year off and the first time i've moved away from family. it was extremely hard for me to get adjusted and i had so many moments where i felt so depressed studying all day and felt like i didn't want to do it anymore. i'm so glad you've found peace by choosing to take a gap year! i wish you all the best and I hope you're feeling so much happier!
