Ford Recommends 5W -20. I use 0W-30 Signature Grade in my 2018 Explorer V-6 3.5L Non Turbo.I live in Michigan.

Shop by HTHS that is what actually matters... Amsoil XL 5w30 in my 0w20 spec'ed engine. It's HTHS of 3.3 and that is what matters. "eff" CAFE Standards which only care about getting you through the "Warranty Period" or what Engineers call the Liability period. My cars aren't disposable! I live in Canada where it gets extremely cold in the winter and my engine is just fine! I have wear analysis reports to prove it that my choice is better than what the engineers call for.
