I'm 18 and already a nail technician. I got my license at 15 in Japan and I learned how to do acrylic nails when I was 13, it took about max 3 months to perfect it. You don't have to be qualified for doing nails yourself. And it varies depending on from person to person. Some may take years to learn it, for me only a couple months. I also run a hair salon. But do what you love! I mostly do doll customizing, and sew dresses for dolls! Just have a fun and exciting future! ☆♡☆

I also did fake nail. Then i started doing more pro fake nails at 6-always then i started arcyrlics at aroundddd 8 and I naturally got it good. Im 12 now and im already doing the entire schools nails, my familys and im good at it. So yeah.

I watch one other nail tutorial channel called Naio Nails with kirsty meakin. I love suzie and kirsty equally, they are both amazing. It's interesting to see their different styles and techniques. Kirsty hates filing so she tries to get the application perfect. Suzie likes, or doesnt mind, filing so her application can be a little less than perfect and perfects it in filing. Again love them both. They are both so talented at their careers.

Am I the only person who thinks I've been getting SUPER ripped off at my local nail salon after watching Suzie's tutorials?!?
yup! i was just thinking that too. this salon i always went too advertised gel nails but this is actually what they were doing.! tips with acrylic overlay! glad i know now. unbelievable! i trusted them :( now im thinking of ways I can go in there and order the "gel" and call them out when they do this and make them give me my gel!
After doing my own nails for several years, I thought it would be fun to have someone else do them for me. Never again. I was very specific as to what I told them, how I wanted them to look, and I was very nice about it, I wasn't all pretentious or anything like that. The last time I had them done I had white tips with clear acrylic and she charged me 51 bucks for it. I felt that I was way over charged for what I got so I decided I would go back to doing my own. I will let someone else do my pedicures, but from now on I will be very very choosy about who I let touch my fingernails.
Kelly Taylor me too :/ i usually do my own gel nails and everything and just use fake glue on white nails and do gel paint over them if i’m feeling lazy, but i just went to our local salon to get french tip acrylics done for homecoming and its very rough and bumpy. and then when i went to salons to get my nails done when i was younger they would be sloppy and wouldn’t clean up the acrylic under my nails or anything. i really prefer doing my own nails and love feeling the satisfaction of meeting my expectations.
All of my local nail salons use nail tips, I've never seen any of them even offer an alternative :(
Lol yeah my aunt charges $40 for a clear tip that's only worth like $10 when my mom went in to get her nails license her teacher would do these beautiful flower designs with acrylic that she would charge about $100 for but she would tell her students that in reality the most it could really be worth is 30 bucks. It's all a marketing scam really they just want to make money

Mama Jinx Loney it's the same tips powder liquid and primer it's beauty secrets I get it all at Sally beauty supply that's where I get the files buffer squares and board so think it's an 8 or 10 grit board and pink buffer square also I use the beauty secrets tip glue I always clean the nails with alcohol sprayed on a round cotton pad I ordered the nail drill with the bits on the wish app on my phone

As a nail biter, I’ve gotten acrylics done hundreds of times over the years. I find after a few fills I often get to a point where I need to get them done more often due to absolutely destroying them due to my nail biting. You’ve inspired me to get a DIY kit and see if I can learn to do them myself to save money and maybe even help my friends save a bit of money by doing theirs eventually

Is it just me that nail videos are satisfying also the ladys nails is sooooo pretty I need her to come do my nails
I do my own nails now because of Suzie. The place I used to get acrylics from is so worried about getting everyone out of there fast that they just do tips and one bead of acrylic, usually without an apex. I usually can bite them off quite easily. Now I'm able to do my own with forms! My nails are pretty wide, the biggest tips are usually too small for my thumbs and are really pully when they use them.
I actually got my own little set of acrylic and the the other materials for it, and I did my own acrylic nails and I actually did great for my first time. And the great part is I made good progress only by watching you, Suzie, and I wan to that you for that, but I need a lot more practice

Often clients dont select the right shape, colour or style. If a clients asks my opinion then i will oblige BUT if the are sure and confident in their choice then i will do my best to make it work with what they have given me 😀

You’ve taught me a love for sculpting nails from forms and wow have I fallen in love with gel. At first I wanted nothing to do with it and only wanted to deal with acrylic but your technique and videos have made me really enjoy working with Gel. Now I need to learn acrylic. The last time I tried to do acrylic I practiced on my daughter’s nails and her thumbnail looked like a giant turtle shell LOL I was using clear and couldn’t see what I was adding on there hahahaha

I love love love how you emphasize on taking as many little beads as you need to because im still learning and someone kept telling me to use bigger beads but i know its harder managing larger beads atleast till your better at it,i love all your videos!thankyou

My friends mom is 30 and every time I take a video weather it’s at a party or we are just taking videos, she starts saying “ no put away the camera I don’t like being in videos.”So if a 30 year old is shy on camera what makes you think a little girl isn’t shy. So leave her alone

I thought Paige was being rude at first but then I think of all the time adults talk to me and it’s kind of awkward and I don’t always know what to say back so I smile or do a polite laugh. I hope she was just nervous and not being rude.
It was probably just awkward, the woman was talking to a camera for thirty odd minutes, someone who she might not even know well...
@Lilman Yellow well even sitting ther shes pretty noticeable and so, melahas co mented on something she noticed. And paige is barely a kid, she looks 16 and should be able to behave in a way thats not awkward.. but as i pointed out it was probably just weird sitting there and not being able to talk for that long period of time

I haven’t seen anyone do all the filing by hand in years! This is how it was done back in the 80’s. You didn’t leave the salon with sore fingers. The whole process took awhile but your nails looked fabulous because you weren’t being rushed!

Oooooo, Suzie, guuuuurl. I use tips and I never use full wells. They don't leave enough nail estate 😉
SheilaisOffensive agreed if I use tips which I dont anymore I always go for well-less tips
I'm gonna try that. I find that I always have bubbles and spots where the tip didn't adhere to the nail. I assume it's because the curve is different. I always have to go back in with the glue to fill in those gaps.
