I think Kalpit should gather some data points to really make his business a good deal for investors. He should take an urban city and gather data like:
1. Vehicle volume and density.
2. Type of Commuters and their breakdown.
3. How many of those commuter types would benefit from his vehicle?
4. Percentage of such commuters against total commuters.
5. Cost of fuel such commuters are spending directly or indirectly against what it would cost if they used his vehicle.
6. Impact on CO2 emissions if all those vehicles are replaced with his vehicle.
No investor in their right mind would not invest if he manages to get those data points. He will definitely do something big with his company. Best of Luck Kalpit!

PMV is a revolution made in the right direction, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where people can opt for this over a two wheeler for more comfort, security and ease of usage. And in tier 1 cities, with Ola & Uber, as well as for Bachelors. Japan already make KEI cars of which MG Comet is a prominent example, while India already had something called Mahindra Reva i which had similar concept, as well as Tata Nano. I do think people especially with bigger luxury vehicles, they also buy smaller cars generally Wagonr for daily usage, where this can replace that.
The cost will be more than 5 lakhs after installation of air bags, Do you think in tier 2 & 3 cities where people dream about buying a car will buy this for 6 lakhs? Delusional. He knows that too that's why he said that it can be their second car in metro cities where traffic is high and people will need a smaller car other than a family one. This has no future unless it costs under 2 lakhs.
And now a days everyone is happy to spend 10 lakhs on MG Comet.

tbh I would never buy car like PMV but if I find a better option for same money value as auto-rickshaw ride I would definitely use that. judging by India's weather, public transportation crisis, lower middle class and middle-class economy, i think PMV can do some modifications as public transportation (auto-rickshaw) and capture the market by filling the gap

Idk what the sharks where thinking on this one, stating facts without any info regarding the market. 5 Lakhs in todays market buys you nothing in terms of automobile, entry level cars like swift on their top model is like 10 lakhs ex showroom, same with baleno, and entry level electric cars like 15lakhs like nexon, tiago is 12lakhs, mg comet which is of same form as this car is 12 lakhs on road.
5 Lakh is a steal with the features he was willing to offer, especially when this is just a prototype and the on road product could be much more polished.
PMV bahut risky hai - Tata Nano ka aur Mahindra Reva ka kha hua dekho. Agar price 1 lakh ke andar aaya tho dekh sakta hai.
