- BLUE OF NOON is an instrumental piece recorded during the Brilliant Trees sessions in 83/84 but released later in 1987 as the B side of the single 'Let The Happiness In' .
Sylvian doesn't appear on the track. Piano and synths are played by Ryuichi Sakamoto, double Bass by Wayne Braithwaite and drums by Steve Jansen.
Composed by David Sylvian
Produced by David Sylvian and Steve Nye - Hudba
Thank you for posting. Listening today in honor of Sakamoto, rest in peace.
Still missing him. What an innovative genius! 😔🙏🏾❤️🕊️
Rip Sakamoto 😢
2023…Fear not, this performance is still very much alive, celebrated and preserved…From someone who owns both the B-side and the knowledge of where the title came from.
The melancholy of an Autumn afternoon is written in my heart with this melody!
🐝 I would love David Sylvian to release an expanded version of
_Secrets of the Beehive_ with a second disc of original extras
like the above stunning track, "Ride", "Forbidden Colours", "The
Promise" and for good measure _Plight & Premonition._
_P&P_ was released only 5 months after _Secrets_ and I
always felt it was an extension of the "found sound textures"
that appear throughout the _Secrets_ album. Just my opinion...
I want all his eggs in one basket! 🥚
This is such an emotive piece it makes me feel like I want to cry.
Such a stunning piece. Rest in peace Wayne Braithwaite.
Sublime
Little masterpiece.
I absolutely love this work as for me it portrays love and love for one and another. Love it x
Stellar! Sweetness embraces you. Thank you for this upload.
What you did visually was perfect too.. 🙂❤🙏!
nice! i did not know this one... thanks for sharing
This is such a beautiful piece. So much talent and feelings were involved when it was recorded. Thanks for posting.
これ大好き。
これ、当時のアナログ12inchEPの収録のみで未だにCDにもなっていないし配信にもない。もったいない。
Secrets of the BeehiveのCDに追加収録するとか、コンピに入れるとかしてほしい。
Incredible
È una musica stupenda.
One hell of a tight crew and individually masters of their own skills.
坂本龍一さんのピアノ…坂本色が出てますね。
One of my favorite compositions ever. I had the 12”when it came out and lost it. Thanks to the interwebs I have been able to listen to it whenever I want. I found a great vinyl rip a couple years ago. Now this☝🏼, This is extremely well done. Thank you for creating a perfect visual for a fantastic song.
brilliant trees のCDアルバムに追加収録して欲しい。
シルビアンの曲でこんなポップなインストの曲があったのか・・・・。
Maybe best David instrumental song ever. 1987 and 1988 were sacred years for music.p.s.this song was maybe made in the 1987,is'n it?
とても美しい曲です。
改めてデヴィッドの才能を素晴らしいと感じました。
upありがとうございました!
Just the ticket!!!!
Originally conceived as a song it seems now.
David's just replied to someone on this saying it was a failure of a song that never evolved hence why it didn't make it to E+N and he doesn't think he'll digitally release it at all. Arse.
That's quite condescending towards Sakamoto who totally carries the piece through his piano playing. I would have loved to hear what it would have sounded like with a vocal melody.
Does anyone have a chord chart for this?
Was this put on any compilations?
nope
Life's just not fair.
N C-K Only bootleg comps.
It was the B-side of Let the Happiness in.
Anyone know where 2:40 is?
If you're talking about the photo of Sylvian with Sakamoto, that was taken in Berlin, outside the Hansa studios, by the wall, in the summer of 1983.
@@renaud_c_h Thanks.
Who else thought that was Kim Whexler.
Good call. Now I cannot unsee it.
@@Oldmotherhell Good call? I think you mean... *Better* call... Saul...
