- Building a NEW Steel Mezzanine Floor_PART 1
This video covers the purchase and installation of a steel mezzanine floor that measures 6 metre wide x 4 metres deep. It is going up one end of an existing 14 metre x 9 metre steel farm shed.
The Mezzanine Floor kit was designed and purchased from SHEDBLOG in Australia:

That is nice kit of parts and very impressed with your floor pads - that is much better way of doing it. You should send this to the supplier so they can produce that instead of those 4 rickety brackets. 👍🏻
Nice job there Dave. Your anchor plates are much more suited than those angle brackets for sure, much more heavy duty.
It's all wasted space in the head room of a building if you don't have over head cranes etc in there so what your doing is just the job for utilising that head room. Great job buddy 👏
Crikey Dave, I better not watch what's coming, it might inspire me to use all the spare C channel I have laying around to build a mezzanine in my main shed and the very last thing I need right now coming into winter is another "great idea for a project"......
I don't have much 'C 'channel but I do have way too much corro iron sheeting laying around. Some are nice and old with lots of rust but most are just waiting to be turned into something useful. Cheers Dave
If you don’t mind me asking, how much did your mezzanine kit set you back?
The final cost is covered at the end of PART 3 video - but as a spoiler the final cost including the floor was $10,900 Australian dollars .
@@TreeChangeFarmer thanks mate I did see in the end just probably jumped the gun a little bit
Hey mate what height is your shed to the gutters ? Cheers
Just measured the wall height and it is 3300mm. Cheers Dave.
@@TreeChangeFarmer legend cheers I have 3600 to bottom of gutters and trying to work out what height I should go to the bottom of mezzanine
