I’ve few of these. The large version is a very practical toolbox knife. Not uk legal, but great in hand, and perfect for dirty jobs where it’s semi-disposable. Shields are usually that way up. Look at any Case. Always struck me as odd, but there you go. The only drawback is that these generally come Arthur Wright sharp! The large ones, by contrast, are usually actually sharp. Let it grow a beard, and replace when it’s too worn out! Yellow looks nice, but only comes in this small size.
This is a great pattern and good knife especially for the price.
Sodbuster is always a good choice for a boy's first knife because you know they're going to beat it up or lose it.
The perfect pocket piece
Mine is part of my work carry. The fit and finish for what I paid is crazy good. And with a little effort on the Lansky Turnbox it is incredibly sharp and does what I need it to. Plus it never scares people around the office like some of my other blades!
You always have to outdo me with your high end stuff. Lol😜🤣🤣🤣
Look at the logo with the blade closed and the knife resting on its spring - all knife shields lay that way.
Hey it's good to see Schrade knives coming in a box for once lol, out of the last 3 I bought only 1 came in a box the other 2 came in clam shell packs. The antonini siciliano is a nice knife I have one of those, pretty decent, a little rough fit and finish on the brass liners, but it's nice.
A very decent knife for the money, and with the shield only being glued in when it inevitably falls out you can glue it back in the right way 🤣
I absolutely love these schrade imperial sodbusters.
Do they hold up well or dull easily thanks
I've got one of those, makes a decent little backup. Paid $4.99 for it. At that price, it's fantastic. Cheers!
I know its an older video, but the steel is 7cr17 equivalent to 440a, Schrade does a good job with HT and is a very serviceable edc steel imo.
I would gladly pay double for a bone or micarta handle. I don't want plastic and it is so hard to find a sodbuster.
Rough Riders are nice, but I hate slipjoints with linerlock. Case are too expensive for the steel type. And the last two I bought had the worst factory edges I have ever seen and rounded tips. Maserin Scout looks nice, but when I saw plastic washers I lost interest.
Wish there is a lock back sod buster. When I was young some 60yrs ago at Western auto they had a big wooden with glass front box full of different styles of Imperial knives for $1.99 pick your choice. I had everyone of them
This knife has a problem with the blade touching an internal pivot when closing too fast. It dents the blade
You cant go wrong for the money
Is like spanish campaña knife,beatiful!!
Great video man 👍🏼, for the price of that though I think I’m going to get one just for a beater or something 😂 better finishing than others I have well over that price point 👌🏼. I have a schrade coming around that price point I’m pretty sure, if it ever turns up 🤦🏼♂️.
I have both this black one and the yellow one and both have better fit and finish than my Case Sod Jr. Paid about 8 pounds for them, whereas the Case comes at about 35. Get your s. together Case pls.
They are what they are a £9 knife
Antonini knives are great value.I bought a couple of Imperial knives but i had no luck with them. But for the price i'm propably to critical. My Case Sodbuster Jr (40 euros) does have a better steel(heat treating) in my opinion but it's 5 times more expensive.
Wow 9 pounds.. here in u.s. they are under 8 dollars .. which is even less in pounds..
"American Outdoor Brands Corporation - Made In China" LOL But hey, I have one of these on my workbench to abuse. It is a buggar to sharpen and doesn't hold an edge very long but it does take a beating.
Had one in the car for years,, good in an emergency I suppose, but all in all,, pretty awful,, imho
