[Adds more 1/1s and lords] - ...
Lmfao yeah this is a pretty typical elves list
I wonder what kind of drugs opponent was smoking not equipping the second cranial plating and attacking for 23 with lifelink and trample in match 3.
You think that's bad, I was once watching my brother play legacy, his opponent had a Phyrexian Opliterator, he had 2 frogmites, a Thought monitor, and 2 Cranial Platings, he equiped both to one of his frogmites, and attacked, costing him his whole board twice, and then some.
The best thing about this story is that even if he equiped 1 on each frogmite, he still had enough damage after blockers to kill his opponent.
all this has shown me is that Shaper's Sanctuary woulda been gas 😎
Maybe..... Yea lol
Also, as elf’s I hate conceding, I think your follow up agasint tron was durable, warmaster plus nettle, potentially just chipping them out.
Thats fair, I am not an elf expert or anything close so always appreciate any advice on decks I play!
I've been durdeling around with elves since forever in modern. What i find this list to lack is the Quirion Ranger. The shenanigans this has added as both being able to ramp (untapping archdruid) or surprise block is really neat.
I'm playing 1-2 Boseiju in my list, as i've met the karn/ ensaring bridge a couple of times - when being able to pop of and blow them out is great.
I Think Tyvar is better than shaman of the pack and chord of calling is better than CoCo - but that might come down to preference - being able to find your silverbullets i my jam.
I hope you find at sweet elf list and give this underrated tribe another go :)
I got a strange elf deck, but I main artifact/enchantment destruction and board wipe protection.
I feel like you conceded too easily this league
Hi!
Do you also play/review decks/brews from viewers?
Multiple times while you were cascading elves you would use your green mana as grey mana when you had a dead land that could've produced green. You could've played the Lord early during your second match had you done that, enabling better draw or protection for your board. Mistakes like that matter a lot in modern.
I looooove ELFs bruuu
2:17 why would you grab heritage druid over leaf-crown
Definitely would take out pendlehaven an put in a basic forest Pendle is bad in a list with a lot of lords
Wow I never thought I would say this but with all the power creep maybe Glimpse should be unbanned...
I think the big problem wouldn't be Elves but an affinity list but I might be wrong there.
Play more Mono red obosh
Why not add red for good cards?
Good thought
Ragavan is the best elf - he lives in the trees and moves around swiftly.
Elementals are in my view an oppressive and extornist way to design cards. Truly a shame they printed legacy cards into the Format to lock people out and push products for whales
They are making modern legacy power level because people want to play with strong cards without shelling out the cash for reserved list cards. If you want a format that feels more like pre-2017 modern, play pioneer.
@@magicthegettogether443 your wrong. They've made modern a rotating format.
Your modern deck was supposed to only need a new card here and there, but most of the cards would still be viable. Jace, who was banned in modern for a long time, is now almost unplayable.
Mh1 and mh2 basically rotated the entire format.
Wait till mh3 comes out, ragavan will be unplayable trash, just like all the modern cards before the mh sets.
this is, in my opinion as an elf player, not a good deck, you arent playing tyvar, or chord of calling , you dont have good sideboard cards vs many of the decks in the format and overall there is just a better deck.
In the first game he is literally playing Coco?
@@doomninja1 sorry, meant chord of calling, that's my bad. But the point still stands and there is loads of feedback, the creator of the video is great, i just disagree with the deck
My opinion is when someone does good with a deck to always try it out and find out why they made the decisions. While I enjoyed the list and think that it is quite good, I believe that we ran into some bad variants in the league. But tyvar would be a great addition to the deck but without having more tutor targets I would not love cord personally, but we are allow to disagree if you dont agree with me.
@@Electricbob31 I play the other variant of this deck where your sideboard is white + magus of the moon as silver bullets for the machup, and you get to play mark of asylum and forge tender that wreks fury and all damaged based removal spells
