Thank you to everyone for all the love you've been showing this video, and big thanks especially to my new subscribers! New content coming real soon!
I wonder how much of this is the Mandela effect though. The actual movie didn't really become a cult classic because of it's stunning visuals, but basically for the exact opposite reason.
@@lordsamich755 When the movie came out in 1954, the visuals were pretty striking for the time. I still think the design of the creature holds up pretty well too. It's definitely my favorite design of the Universal Monsters
Yeah dude you deserve it like I cannot imagine someone making a video 1 YEAR AGO AND STILL REPLYING TO COMMENTS FROM YESTERDAY THAT IS INSANE
@@judakissmaximus haha. Thanks for checking it out. Yeah, I'm a little slow with replying to the comments sometimes, but I try to get to them all eventually. :-)
@@lordsamich755 I wish someone could do this with this ripped zombie mask I have.
Oddly in all the years i have been doing my hobby it never occured to me to try to do this...i have rehauled alot of customer masks from crappy to movie quality but never tried doing one off Amazon...inspiration gained here!
Thanks for checking out the video!
I'm a new subscriber and I just wanna say your work is phenomenal. Great attention to detail as well as paint job . its like night and day .
@@DRAGOINTHEHOUSE Thanks so much for watching, and subscribing! I appreciate it!
Oh the algorithm gods have pleased me today!
haha. Thanks for watching!
3:45 "When I killed your brother, Eddie, I talked with a high, squeaky voice JUST LIKE THIIIIIIISSSS!"
Hahaha! Totally!
Lmao was thinking that too
Thank god I wasnt the only one who saw that.
This show US that we will not have limits for our creativity. It's an amazing piece. Excellent job
Thank you very much!
almost felt like crying when I saw those old masks in the back. Just remember all my friends as kids running around in them, from Kmart, lol. That plastic that would bite into your lip, lol, miss those, (mine was always dracula or frankenstein)
Thanks for watching Noel! Yeah, those old masks carry a lot of nostalgia with them for sure. I love them.
Outstanding work! It takes me back to when I was a kid back in the 70's. We would take whatever we could find at a Five and Dime store and create our own monsters for our Halloween Spook Houses. Did this for many years and it was always fun. Thank you so much for your creativity and talent.
Thanks Mark! I used to do this kind of thing as a kid too, and always had a blast doing it. I appreciate you watching and commenting. Cheers!
Totally dig it!! 💚 Love the creativity! Never dawned on me to re-vamp a mask, especially into a bust!! Brilliant!
Thanks so much! It was definitely a fun project!
Clint, Great video. It was fun watching this. Please do more of these.
Thanks so much Michelle! More vids coming soon. :-)
I never considered using freeform air as a medium like that. You just gave me some really good ideas. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Man talk about a beautiful piece! It's dudes like you that I've learned so much from. Liked and subbed!
Wow! Great upgrade. Excellent work!
Thank you!
Absolutely AWESOME.
Would never have believed that was the same mask. Incredible.
You’re so humble and self effacing with your talent too. Dude, that was brilliant.
Thanks so much for checking out the vid Steve! Glad you like it!
@@SYSTEMSYN Definitely. I love stuff like that.
A few years back I ordered, what I thought was, a decent Shape mask. When it came it was horrific in totally the wrong way 😂
The only way I could do anything with it was by spraying it pure white and then literally painting a copy of the Shape mask onto it, highlights, shadows and everything.
It kinda worked.
But then, a week before Halloween I tore a ligament and the neighbourhood was treated to the sight of Michael Myers on crutches!
@@stevetayler9518 Yeah, ordering masks online can be a real gamble. That's cool that you were able to repaint it to the original look though.
I just came across your channel and I am so happy I did. And on October 1st too, perfect way to kick off spooky season. You are so talented, can't wait to see what else you do 👻
Thank you so much Kimmi!

Although this is well beyond my artistic skill level, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the process. No one would believe you started with a cheap mask to create such a fantastic bust!
Thank you Susan!
Very cool, man. The piece looks 100x better than when it was 1st shown. Love the content.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon classic! Well done mate!
Thanks so much!
Wicked video dude! Never seen someone re-sculpt a mask into a bust before. Awesome!!!
Thanks so much!
Creature is my fav
THANKS for the inspiration!!!
Started the project to do all three movie Ampibious Creatures (Creature from Lost Lagoon, Abe Sapien from Hellboy and the creature from Shape of Water).
I can concur that spray foam is not the way to go. Had a disatrous (using a Shape of Water mask) go where I put a whole can in and it stayed liquid (lack of exposure to 'air' or reaction with the latex?). Completed the bust and painted it only to have it expand like the worst case of the mumps. Released the pressure by cutting behind the gills and the foam expanded and squirted out for DAYS!!. Sliced open behind all the gills and eventually salvaged it. The exposed gills just added to the overall effect. Tried two other masks (Ape Sapien, and Creature FTLL) using Gorilla Glue method. Much more controllable. Had so much fun that my next attempt is to make Horror versions of the Cereal monsters Franken Berry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Fruit Brute and Yummy Mummy. Found suitable masks as a starting point on ebay for about £17.99 each. Can't wait.
Yeah, spray foam was definitely not a great idea. ha. That's awesome that you're doing all the amphibious Creature busts! Where can I see your masks?
This came out wicked rad bro.
Thank you!
WOW!!! Great job.
Thanks!
Please make more of these !!!!!
Wow truly amazing. The mask don't look cheep know more .it look so real. Keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you so much!
Amazing work, and also classic monster rep+ :)
Thank you! Can't go wrong with the classics. :-)
That look great Clint.
Thanks for checking it out Cameron!
Great result!
Thank you! Cheers!
One Of My Favorite Mask In My Collection is The Original Don Post Creature.... I Love It...
That's a great one to have in your collection!
That looks brilliant indeed!
Thanks so much, Michael!
@@SYSTEMSYN my pleasure, I have bought the exact same Creature mask, but would never be able to transform it into something brilliant like you have. Happy Halloween.
@@rawedgeman01 Happy Halloween!
Omg wow... I'm really impressed...!!! 😮👌🏻👌🏻 Awesome
Thanks so much! :-)
Wow.. you're a very talented artist
Thanks Stephanie!
Great Job! I always put some foam in before the mannequin head then fill around it, also water in a spritz bottle helps too, The moisture make the foam expand quicker and cure faster.
Thanks for watching Josh, and thanks for the tips! Cheers!
That's dope man!!!
Thank you!
This is really awesome!! I’ve been really thinking of making a movie quality Gillman costume, and this gave me some ideas!! Btw, did you make that corpse/mummy looking mask off to the left??? I love it, and would love to learn how you made it, if you did.
Thanks Josh! Good luck with the Gillman costume! That would be a fun one to build. And yes, I did make the mummy. Made a full costume for him too. It was a build-up type mask... so, no sculpture or mold on that one. Just all built up from scratch. I'll be releasing a new video soon where I go through the process for making a mask similar to that, so please feel free to subscribe if you want to check that one out. Cheers!
That came out awesome
Thanks Jennifer!
@@SYSTEMSYN You’re welcome handsome!
thats so swag, i kinda wanna do this now
Thank you! You should try it. It's a lot of fun!
Thanks for the inspirational video
Thanks for watching it!
Very nice! You really brought it to life. What is the best expanding foam spray you would suggest? I am going to be making a display similar to this as well and was curious.
You have a great skill
Thank you!
Wow; totally amazing. I wish I had your talent for this sort of thing.
Thank you!
Amazing work, Clint! That is a great display piece for sure and the glossy finish really gives the creature that wet "lagoony" appearance. Haha! Well done.
A few years ago, I was lucky enough to see 'The Creature from the Black Lagoon' in 3-D at a local Cineplex Odeon movie theatre showing the movie for a limited engagement and as much as I love the movie in 2-D, it was all the more enjoyable watching it in 3-D on the big screen. That was a very memorable experience, so if you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it or if you have the ability to watch the 3-D Blu-ray, I know you'll get a kick out of it. :)
Thanks! I got to see it in 3D a few years back too! So cool to see it that way. :-)
My wife was telling me about your incredible videos and WOW, AMAZING!!!!
Thanks Daniel!
I love that derpy fish mask.
haha. Yes!
AMAZING!
This is awesome!
Thanks so much!
I love how you made this video last year and you're still replying to comments that were from like yesterday LOL
Heheh. Yeah, this video barely got any views all year and then out of the blue people started finding it four days ago. Crazy. Ha.
Really cool!
Thank you!
WOW, turned out great. I wish I had the skills to do this. tfs
Thank you!
Don’t wish get up and do it! Trust me you can do it just put your mind to anything!
Really awesome dude

Looks like you might want to clean your printer heads brother! Lol This is amazing. Subscribed.
Hahaha... definitely need to fix that printer. Thanks for watching and subscribing Austin!
Awesomeness!
Thanks Carlos!
Amazing
Thanks Matt!
Very cool
Thanks!
Masterpiece
Thanks Dean!
this is kick ass
Thank you!
Nice video it looks great do you know what type of paint can be used on silicone and rubber I have some 1/6 phicen bodies that I want to paint i tried soft pastels but its not that good...
Thanks for checking it out! Silicone is pretty tricky to paint. You have to mix your paint with silicone basically. If you search youtube for "painting a silicone mask" you'll find a few good videos that walk you through it. Same with the rubber props, just search for "painting a latex mask," and there are lots of great tutorials. Good luck!
You should try and do something with a cheap Glenn Strange Frankenstein mask I’ve seen online
I saw this video 8 times I all was One during what type of paint did you use to paint that laytex?
Pretty cool pretty cool
Thank you!
Can you do a Frankenstein mask? The Boris Karloff version of course! Would love to see that! And maybe sell it lol
Great idea. I may do one in the future if I find the right mask for it. :-)
“and here he is with cool lights :)” my favorite part
Thanks! :-)
This was cool
Thank you!
Nice job
Thank you!
Great video! Make more!
Thanks buddy! Let's hang out as soon as the plague is over!
Wow bro very cool
Thank you!
Amazing🎉
Thank you!
Cool!
Thanks!
awesome!
Thanks buddy!
I am also a mask collector new to the hobby I started mine with luchador masks but now I have movie masks also and that was a fantastic job if I had that kind of patience lol although I am thinking about carving my own mask from the mask with Jim Carey
Nice! Thanks for checking out my video!
Anytime loved the content I used to sport a mohawk to wen I had the hair to do it with
DO you have a link to the Acrylic gloss Clear coat that you sprayed onto the mask to give it that shine?
Do you have any other tips or tricks to remove the creases from shipping? I use a heat gun and no luck.
Try heating the mask from the inside of the mask... though be careful if you're using a heat gun instead of a blow dryer as it can get too hot. Then while the mask is hot, stuff it with something to put it in to the right shape, and let it cool off while stuffed. You might have to repeat the process a couple times if the crease is really bad. Good luck!
