I hate covers with the original in the background, just re-record the whole thing, it's annoying as hell
Their bassist and drummer don't record, so they don't do full cover. They need the original drums and bass in the background.
FoxWood That would be ok if it was only the original drums and bass in the background, but its not, it's the whole song, it just sounds messy. I'm sure with the setup the vocalist appears to have he can record some rudimentary drums and bass. It just gives these performers the excuse to hide behind the original song.
You can't just get one instrument from the original song dumb ass
I'm aware, so I'm saying re-record the whole thing, if you've already bothered to record the guitars and vocals, why not the bass and drums aswell?
A lot of factors can play into this.
I'm not saying this is the situation, but it is a good example:
The bassist and drummer probably live in another country and can't commute to the recording studio, and would rather not collaborate over the internet. This band wants to put out quality content, and it would hurt if their projects were to be done ALL over the internet because it's very difficult to collaborate with an entire band that you can't talk to in an instant. Things are better turned out when done in person.
There are other possible situations, but I respect their decisions for not including the rest of the band in their covers. Either way, I think they perform greatly! I love their covers, whether recorded over the original track or not!
P.S. This cover was recorded before they had a bassist and drummer ;)

James dorian there is a big difference of the air you have in your lungs when you do Growls and fry screams ... austin is doing fry screams means he is not using so much air .. i can hold my fry screams for 40 seconds .. and my growls for like 10 seconds
