I put juice in blender with light sugar and mix the and have it in an iced glass. So delicious
HEY! i made this today! love it with a lot of different foods, not just curry :)
Lovely. I would eat your mango out with salt and pepper before you know it.. lol. My natural way to make grated achar but instead I will chew it lol....❤💛💛🇬🇾❤💛💛💚🧡
Yummy 😋
Very helpful! Question: is mango masala something different than we regular masala for curry?
I eat it with Roti as well. Enjoy
I love achar but I don't like to make it or peppersauce .I love free stuff when someone makes it and give it to me 😃uP.Sometimes I feel lazy to have the patience to make it all.You ate do good and energetic my guyanese sister 😃.Truth is I'm a little corhee too 😃.I hope one day my people don't make my achar with CASTOR oil 😃.I always get peppersauce and achar from 🇬🇾.God bless you my Guyanese sister you're do unique with your cooking skills. Also I hate to bake cakes and pastries .I like them free or I buy 😃.Free stuff I always find ot tastier 😃.But I love to cook all my food though.
I laugh when you mentioned the word corhee, I didn’t hear it a long time, reminded me of back home. I know you are not corhee but sometimes there are things that we prefer to do and some not. I am like that too✌️❤️🤣
I really like your grated mango achar, exactly like my mom and grandmom preparate it but the diffrence was the oil instead of mosterd oil they used cooking oil that was Surinam before. When you store the achar in the bottle I hear you drooling ,so I like that I was drooling too hahaha 😁😁😁
I am so happy to hear that your mom and grandma made the Achar the same way I did. My mouth always water for these kind of things🤣🤣🤣 Are you from Surinam? Welcome to my channel, keep watching and remember to share my videos with your family and friends. Next time you make a comment please add your country flag at the end of the comment.🇨🇦✌️❤️🇬🇾
@@Sharmins_Kitchen thanks, I'm from Surinam but I life almost for 40 years in The Hague,Holland. I travel now and than to Surinam b'cause have mij home and family in Surinam. After retirment I hope to go back to my home in Surnam.
Geeeeeyana lol......d caaal pot lol
Thank you so much!!! I looooove achar!!! I only get a chance to eat it when someone goes back to Guyana and bring me back some! God bless you!!!
Guess i will try it in Toronto of Guyanese origin
I always thought it was picked from a seed of a fruit or something!
I really like your stove. Did you buy it?
Ashiana Khan the stove was a gift to me by a nice old man.Do you live in Canada? You can buy them here in Canadian Tire.✌️❤️
Ashiana, if you live in NYC,you can buy these outdoor stove from most of the West Indian stores on liberty avenue.🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
I know that mango achar is very nice - beef curry is the best with mango Achar - . In my humble opinion.
Where do you get the masala from to make the Achar i live in Cambridge
Guess we can make it in Toronto rather than fulling up your suitcase coming from guyana
Is amchar masala different from ricks and sari garamasala?i know that is a trini masala
Good question, the Amchar masala is specifically for Achar. Garam masala is for curry. Back in the days when there was no Amchar masala my grandmother would purchase special whole spices for Achar and grind toast them up before grinding them on her sill and lorha 👍
Please excuse my typing mistakes but guess you UNDERSTAND what I meant.
Two things: 1) please send my share of achar via special delivery and 2) kindly send my invitation for the 7 curry lunch lol.
Donna Edinboro you make me laugh, you know you are always invited.✌️❤️
Welcome to my channel, in Guyana and some Caribbean countries when Hindu people have prayers they cook vegetarian dishes. This includes pumpkin, Dhal, katahar, spinach, eddoes and eggplant curry, potato and channa curry. Some add mango curry too. I am not a Hindu but I prepare it sometimes for my family when we feel like taking a break from meat.✌️❤️🇬🇾🇨🇦
Did you buy those mangoes from Wal-Mart?
I made the Achar two years ago, can’t remember where I bought the mangoes from. I don’t think it’s was Walmart though 👍
In guyana you put the achar in the hot sun
That’s true my brother but in Canada I have more cold months than hot ones.
You have done a very good illustration and I thank you ! Please ease up on “guys “ it’s an overkill.
Thank you for your feedback, check out the newer video there is improvement 👍👍👍
What’s in the achar masala? I don’t think I can get that in Texas. I’ll probably have to make the masala myself
Welcome to my channel. The masala contains coriander seed, black cumin, mustard seed, cumin. If you have access to chief brand products , they carry amchar masala. I am happy to hear you are watching from Texas.
@@Sharmins_Kitchen we don’t get Cheif products here. Usually when my mom goes to Guyana or New York she’ll bring stuff back. I wanted to surprise her and make her some achar. I’ll have to see ...so basically amchar masala is like regular masala right??
Love your channel!!
@@Sharmins_Kitchen I just checked Amazon I can buy it online! I’ll make this recipe soon. Thanks for all the details!
It’s a little different, slightly some of the ingredients for the regular masala is not in the amchar✌️❤️
Texas needs to have some West Indian restaurant I’m in Houston dying … I can’t even find the pepper
Miss Sharmin your video and cooking is excellent; however you need to cut out the "omg" blessings, blessings.
Kutchela
Sis, is Amchar a brand name for the masala? If so can any brand be used or does it have to be Amchar?
Good morning sis, Any brand can be used. I usually buy the Chief brand in the West Indian Store. Let me know if you make it and how it turns out ✌️❤️💯
Absolutely, the mustard oil helps to keep it a little longer. Use your cooking oil and please let me know how it works ✌️❤️
I thought that you would have removed the seeds from the pepper since the children would have to partake.
After squeezing the mango did not spread and air it out
You could if you like but you can also prepare it right after squeezing it out. I always do👍
Where Can I get the Achar Masala to buy
You can find it in the West Indian Grocery store. Do you live in North America? It’s called Amchar masala I used the Chief brand ✌️❤️💯
@@Sharmins_Kitchen Sorry, yes I live in New Jersey. Dont have West Indian Stores close by. I will have to trek down to Queens, NY THANKS
Hi
0707
Thanks for the recipe. Where would you go if you were to die today? Seek the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ before it's too late. John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Hell is real and Heaven is also real. You don't want to spend an eternity in Hell torment without God. The only way to escape Hell is to follow Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour. Study the KJV Bible to know more and pray and seek until you find Jesus. Don't delay tomorrow might be too late. You are not promised even the next minute. Do it now
Speaking too much,
Hi sharmin jus a little advise u can dry grind your pepper and garlic using water is what makes the chutney get fungus very easily. U can also blend the pepper and garlic with the mustard oil no water. Thats is the only difference how i make my achar no water.
Thank you so much for sharing your great idea. I will surely try it the next time 👍
