  • I recently spent 5 days in Mt. Rainier National Park during the peak of the wildflower season. I had all kinds of different weather among the 5 days I spent exploring, including clear skies, fog, rainbows, and a pretty amazing sunrise. In this video, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at my process for capturing landscape photos, as well as pick up on some tips and advice.
After I got home, my friends at ProPrints decided to print out and send me a couple of images on metal from this trip. The images looked amazing and the prints really helped to bring the images to life. If you're looking to get your photos printed, I can't recommend ProPrints enough: www.proprints....

I lived in Centralia Wash . Walked out of my housing looked to the left and could see Mt Rainier almost everyday. Stunning breathtaking. Mis it terribly. 8:27

Pinnacle Glacier or what's left of it, the best time to photograph the reflection is actually earlier in the day at that location or just go to Reflection Lake in the morning. The wind picks up in late afternoon. BTW, you should get yourself a L-bracket. The Sunrise area is still the best for photographers and is always crowded even after midnight during the summer months. Did you even hike up the Skyline trail to Panorama Point Overlook? That's the perfect spot for landscape photography.

I agree that was a nice photo of my Rainer. I liked the purple sky glow. That was nice of them to give you a free printings of your work. Will you be featuring that as one of your farmers market ones for sale.
Glad you had a 6 day adventure.

Looks like an awesome trip! Do you guys do car camping on your workshops? Looks like you had your truck set up for sleeping. I only ask because I do that quite often out of my SUV.

For my Mt. Rainier workshop, everyone is free to do what they want since lodging isn’t included. I personally think car camping is the best way to do it, but some people like to have a hotel at the end of a long day!
