I have the same exact maul and I love it. I got mine several years ago and loved it so much I bought another one just in case anything happens to the first one. It has the best shape/design of any maul I've ever used. I live in northern Michigan and heat only with wood so I've split a LOT of wood over a lifetime. Keep it sharp and you can split all day.
I bought the exact same maul last week at a pawn shop for 15 bucks. I broke the handle off of my usual splitting axe and didn't feel like handling it right then and there. And so far I still haven't handled it again because this maul does exactly what I need it for at the moment. And for 15 bucks I couldn't be happier. There are definitely better ones out there for sure, but for a pawn shop bargain price, I have 0 regrets.
I just picked mine up today. First time splitting wood with a proper maul. Man does it make a difference.

yeah buddy! same exact one I bought! it resides next to my boiler stove... next time you get over there, check out the edge I put on it! but yeah, straight up, I second your recommendation brother... great cutting tool there

Wood that is being split can sometimes fly off in unpredictable directions. Your car is too close to the work. Otherwise, it was a good show!
