Scotch It! You scotch gods.
Mic is too good! I could hear you digesting that whiskey!
crystal clear.
Glendronach is doing an extraordinary job! I’m a fan for sure.
Great review Scott!
Thanks Couch.
That color is ridiculous and I was drooling watching you nose it, then tast it, sounds absolutely incredible. loved the review.
thanks Scott, it is a good one!
Thanks Scott. When I visited the distillery I tried a few samples...all superb!
Thanks Glass! Got your order for the new coins!
Stop trying to copy me:) jk. I am just praying that I might be a suggested video after you guys so I get more then 50 views:). Amazing review Scott....and thank you for the kind shout out! I am glad I am in The Godfather of whiskytube’s good graces;). I knew when I saw the title of this that you were going to love it and give it a really high score.
hey you got more than 50 views! What say we head over to Travis' house when he's not home!?
Glendronach Single Casks are phenomenal and very well sherried. Great quick hitter Scott. I've got my 1992 vintage one ready for my birthday soon!
2 Glendronach 1993 single casks went on sale today at the Green Welly Stop - Pre Order. Sold out in 2 hours, that's probably about 1300 bottles at £190 a go which makes it 250K spent on whisky in 2 hours. Totally insane......
jackpot Jason!
Cant wait to open it on my Birthday @Scott
+Kian O Hara That's mental but if they have a 1992 I'll be definitely buying some.
Got to get some! Thanks a lot Scott!
thanks Luis!
Great review Scott. Well done.
Thanks Rob. Enjoy that 1994 Dronach you have!
Hey Scott! Thanks for this review! Aren't some older Glendronach''s just simply stunning like this one? I had almost the same experience with an independent caskstrength bottling from 1995, just blew me away so good! Slàinte!
Thanks Jaap! Delicious for sure. Need my own bottle or six.
Great review Horst! um I mean Scott. Please go back to your old mic.
plusses and minuses. thanks Tom!
Awesome review, sounds like a phenomenal single malt!
phenomenal...(sing song voice)
Great review! Sounds like one hell of a dram!🥃👍
that it is PressMan. Got your order for the new coins.
Scott, the color looks like maple syrup. Glendronach is such a great distillery. I purchased my 1995 19 yr Px Puncheon cask #4028 a couple years ago from TWE for $134.00 and now they just sell out quickly. I'm curious, my friend was able to find a Compass Box Circus for $300.. Did you happen to grab the General? Great review.
i had the General originally, and have about 4 ounces of it left!
Scott was the General epic! I will never know how the General will compare to the CIrcus, but I will certainly enjoy drinking the Circus and the Flaming Heart 15th Anniversary of which I just picked up.
Great Sound! Fantastic colour and thick oily legs!!! Thats awesome Scott. Glendronach is my favourite sherry distilleries! Never had a bad single malt from them. Gotta send you a sample of the hand filled i have. Slanté dummie!
I usually don't show the color but, my god man! Did you see that!
Just mouthwatering ......
Swish more please.
sorry, learning the intricacies of the mics. already made adjustments.
Scotch Test Dummies I wasnt being sarcastic lol. I miss the old horst leuning where you could hear everything.
👍
thanks vrich!
Sounds like a great dram!
that it was Dan!
THAT color is outrageous.
gorgeous outrageous!
Mic is great but it sounds a little like Horst now😏 Wow, 97? Roy is a Glendronach fan too. Thanks for the U.K. sources. Been to the Royal Mile. They know their whisky. Thanks
Thanks Hoyet. Working on mics. Adjustments in the works.
Sensational. I'm so jealous 😉
thanks Kunaal.
A score that high, I thought you would have Steve Perry singing “Oh Sherrie” in the background.
right from the High School days there!
I was fortunate to get 16 yo single cask PX for under $80 a year ago and it stays at the top of my list ever since. It feels almost like concentrate, like it was squeezed directly from the wood of the barrels. By the way, I tried 10 and 11 yo distilled after 2002 and they are completely different. More bourbon taste than sherry.
my mouth started watering there a little.
Good one Scott! It's too bad that companies like Master of Malt don't ship to Canada...
its too bad Canada doesn't allow it!
Scotch Test Dummies Exactly...
Quick follow up to my last comment on the 2 single cask 1993 glendronach that were on sale. Both sold out in 2 hours, lets hope the bottle flippers didnt get them all.
Old microphone better. I guess everyone has already mentioned that.
You could probably take the new microphone and place it on the table about 2 feet away and that might be worth a try.
Sorry if the mic cost a lot.
I'll have to listen to this a second time to hear what you're saying. I'm distracted by the mic.
Cheers!
i didn't know you have to adjust settings with it. the camera and the mic together were on 10 both separately, so that makes it like 20 when combined. I have to change settings which I didn't realize. future ones won't be as bad.
Hi, which do you like more, this or the Balvenie Tun 1509 batch 3? Great review. Thanks!
Probalby this, but this is a sherry bomb! The Balvenie has some sherry but is much more refined and aged and brings more layers. I love the sherry bombs! Scott
We did a double review of this on Malt and it scored highly but it was too much on the sherry scale for my own personal taste.
Loved it! Excellent (but a lot) of sherry!
Yeah nice review Scott! Glad you liked it... I knew that would get a high score. It's really hard to beat that imo as far as sherry goes. Did you compare it side by side to the '94 PX?
Have not done that yet, but I just asked Keith if he wants to raid your house with me.
lol. The px '94 is good too, but it's a little different. It's sweeter and has more milk chocolate notes.
that one will be coming up sometime!
Just got an email from the Green Welly Stop announcing they have 2 Casks of 1993 Glendronach available for Pre order right now- casks 654 and 655 both are £190 and are big on the sherry like this one. Get in quick if you are interested they ain't gonna be around for long i would imagine
was already there, and website was locked up! Just missed them!
Yeah its like a Goldrush when the 1993 Glendronach go on sale
Scott, fantastic review as always buddy. I've been a fan of the Glendroanch's for the past year and must say that they've been the best distillery that I've tried (and i've tried a lot). I have a couple of the 12,s 15s, 18s, 21s and all are fantastic. Way better than the Macallan line and also more affordable. What is your favorite from Glendronach and have you tried the Tawny Port and Virgin Oak versions yet? Trying to get my hand on those as well as the one you just had. Cheers!
the 21 Parliament (outside of this one). i did a flight just last night of the 12, 15, and 21 and the 21 kicks A! I love the Glendronach line too, but sherry is my kryptonite! thanks Michael.
I'm with you Scott! Thinking of stocking up on some more 21s and 18s as I figure they will jump in price in the near future. One last question: I've see both of your Bruichladdich Black Art reviews with Bart. I'm really intrigued and am close to pulling the trigger as I found a place online that sells the 4.1 for $350. Do you think it's worth it at that price point? I'm more of a sherry drinker (but have open up to the Ilays like yourself!) and wanted to know if its in that wheelhouse? Thanks again!
The 4.1 is worth that. Several reviewers have noted liking it better than the 5.1. There is no peat in it either. Its rich and sherry based.
New mic is great. But turn off sound compression on recorder.
going to have to work with it and see what i can do.
Heroeeeeeeeeeees!
thanks ArtMorte!
Stop telling people how to get these bottles Scott!! :) Seriously though, this bottle and the Green Welly 24-yr pick will make anybody a fan of Glendronach. Cheers!
that it would Steven, thanks!
ooooooh thats nice! Im gonna poor myself some 21 year old 18 year old lol, does this beat your Balvenie tun 3? :D
this does beat the Tun!
Scotch Test Dummies 😲 I hope you can find a bottle!
97? Have we seen a 97 before?
i dont' think so, Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 3 was a 96 I think.
Sorry Scott, great review but I don't like the new mics. It's too close to your throat and the swallowing noises aren't nice. Whisky.com has the same problem.
yep i noticed that too, will have to see what i can do.
The color is ridiculous. Cheers
I know! Usually don't show or notice the color but this was ridiculous !
Yep - mic was too good
Whisky was too good
Life is not always fair
good mic, just picks up everything...and i mean everything!
1st.
👍
