【English translation】 Hi, Suzuki Kenichi from Ningen Isu.
Today I’ll react to the music video “Mujou no Scat (Heartless Scat)” from new album “Shin-Seinen(New Youth)”. Let’s go.
…What? Okay, work it. This man is a guitarist, Wajima. It’s me, Suzuki Kenichi.
This is Nakajima Nobu, and it’s me Suzuki Kenichi, Wajima Shinji again… Standing left side is me, playing B.C. Rich bass, shape of EAGLE.
I had been playing it since our debut, but it was broken by a certain music store in Koenji… Though I can’t use it for playing music. It’s useful for shooting video outside, because I don’t care if it gets wet and dirty a little.
In contrast, this white Kimono, you see in this video, I’m wearing it only for taking portfolios and music videos.
This is a little bit fancy Kimono. I usually wear polyester Kimono on stage, and after the live show, I wash it at a laundromat. Polyester Kimono is quality of becoming dry quickly and stretching the wrinkle easily, so it is very functional to go on a tour.
The white one in music video, it’s made from high grade cotton, hand-sewn and truly pure white.
Compared with the costume on stage, this cotton Kimono seems a veritable brand-new cloth.
The cotton Kimono has a pleasant feel, but if I wear it on stage, it will get dirty soon. Therefore, I wear it only for the time showing off.
Now I talk about accessories on a music instrument. The strings on my bass is…let me see, oh I forgot the manufacture…the packaging is yellow color…Gotcha! ERNIEBALL!! I use ERNIEBALL strings. And the guitar strap is leather. I had ordered picks from music store in Koenji before, now I order Sago where Wajima orders them too, for some reason.
Wow! It has already been a middle part of the video. I may want to talk about recording video.
I think I look so dull in this video. At a glance, you may think I perform hard, but actually I’m not.
Especially the last part of the bridge! I employ slide playing technique like this "Guuuuun" then, though in this music video, I didn't "Guuuuun", because I forgot.
I noticed that I forgot "Guuuun" later, but maybe it doesn't matter and it's so me I think, so I has ok'd.
In this video, there are three scenes, in the forest of the park, in front of the fountain and beach side.
I thought I have to perform over and over again, but in actually, I do only a few times. First, I perform in front of the fountain twice, and... Wow! did you see!? How dull I was then ... ah, and the last I played in the forest only once, director said " Yeah, okay Mr. Suzuki! Finish!". In total, I played only three times.
Mr. Tanaka, the director of this music video, really understands me. Usually I can have nice performances in the beginning, but with each time, it gets worse and worse. Mr. Tanaka knows it well, so he has ok'd only once.
In this scene, Mr. Wajima is cool! He looks like a different person! Oh, it's a little bit rude.
Attention everyone! This part is the awesome part of this song! I love specially after "Oooooooooh!", so I'm in heaven when I play the part. For me, Fist verse, second verse, middle part and third verse are like introductions for this part. I really love this part.

I love the fact that this badass demon monk bass monster talks about washing his polyester kimono in a laundromat after every show. And why polyester, you might ask? Because it dries quickly and the wrinkles stretch out easily, so it is very functional to go on a tour.

I love it how he uses a pick, and isn't afraid to admit it, rather brag about it!!!! Every Bassist has their own style whether its fingerstyle, slap, pick, or whatever.... (Anyone that talks s**t about a pick user on bass needs to look at some of the greatest songs ever written , a lot of bassist use picks, it doesn't mean they can't play with their fingers, its just what feels comfy.)

People who call pick users bad dont know anything about bass. Using a pick creates a much sharper sound which works better on metal and punk rock. Bands like guns and roses and green day uses pick since it creates a much sharper tone
@@guy-rk1jj Duff plays both(song dependent), but says he prefers finger style like his idle CJ RAMONE.
Steve harris and Gedi lee would disagree about the sharper sound thing, dig harder and deeper and bounce them strings.....

He's not a drinker.
He speaks cautiously, because he speaks in Tokyo dialect, with Tokyo intonation
His native tongue is the Tsugaru dialect, which even many Japanese people cannot understand.
He may have spoken in that way for the sake of the translated subtitles
My guess weren't he was a drinker, simply that he were choosing his words very carefully but thanks for the info about the Tsugaru dialect, I had no idea and just looked it up, it really got some very different words for some things. We do have a bit of that in my country but I'm not sure it would be this extreme, then again, for me, not knowing the language probably makes it even worse.

人間椅子が現役でバンド活動しているのは、嬉しい限りです。若い頃、初期の楽曲、「♪針の山」をベースの練習で弾いていた事もありました。当時、いか天、見ていましたけど、現役で残っている、いか天バンド(勝ち抜きした)は、何故か、北日本(青森県 人間椅子)と南日本(沖縄県 BEGIN)という不思議！
