Yes it would be good to see more. Some of the images you captured were quite surreal and the discoloured alcohol really added to the strangeness.

Nice presentation of useful information! Much appreciated!
Please excuse my niavity on the subject, but i am curious if it is ever advantageous to change out the preservative solution partially or completely to a clear version? Or do the leached pigments in the preservative aid in attenuating the reflections? So, basically I am asking are clear or colored specimen solutions preferable for photographing in liquids?

I think some of the more abstract shots are aided by the dark fluid, making them a little more mysterious. However I would say that most of the time, you would want the fluid to be as clear as possible. Reducing particulates when focus stacking is a must as they will create a lot of unwanted lines on the final photo as they float around during the stack.

Definitely would like to see more! Maybe the geology department? Btw, wouldn't a polarising filter also help with the reflections?

Thank you Ben. Your videos are always clear and rewarding. Can a polarizing filter help as well? I'm thinking for example to photograph fish in an aquarium (I have two). Thanks again Ben.
