    Hang in there kid. It seems impossible when you're first learning. That's normal. Don't worry about it. If you don't give up, you'll learn it! And you'll be REALLY glad that you stuck with it and didn't give up. Because once you learn it its super fun!!

    Just so you know, the age to start playing table tennis is 7-9 normally. For those who say he can't even hold the racket. He will learn eventually.

    When you look at the kid, you can see he's not watching the ball. Also he doesn't show any intention. He's trying to let the technique automatically take care of the stroke. However, you need to watch the ball and "want" it to go across the net to the other side. First comes intention. Technique is only a means to an end. Otherwise, good video!

    Do I need to brush the ball throughout the stroke?

    • @RobertoCostas
      @RobertoCostas Před 2 lety

      Yes. But a good way to learn and gain control is without brushing. However, once you have mastered it, it's good to always brush. Some brush it more, closing more the racket (around 45º), some less (angle around 60-80º).
