    Thank you so much for the guide. My knife fell off my bed less than 2feet and the springs dislodged. Your video allowed me to fix it myself.

    Thanks you sir got piece of lint stuck so would fully lock open or close took apart spring shot off found it tried again shot off again so put it all in bag and haven’t fixed until found this video months later

    Hi there, I’m the dummy who took mine apart before watching this and I did lose one of my springs. Know where I can get a replacement? Would really appreciate the help.

      Your best bet is to call Benchmade. They typically will replace anything like that. They might require you to send them the knife and they might not.

    Can you take one scale off to oil the mechanism without it popping apart lol

      You can. Very carefully. Pop it off too aggressively and the tiny springs will evacuate at high velocity, though. The easiest way to oil the mechanics is to just drip some oil 360 degrees around the base of the blade and cycle it a few times. The oil gets drawn into where it needs to go.
