My favorite Christmas carol. When I was growing up, my dad always played every version of Carol of the Bells he could find for me. He, Mom, and I would decorate our tree and listen to all the Christmas carols...but especially this one. My dad has been gone 15 yrs and I sure miss him. Finding that my 2 fave musicians have recorded my fave carol has brought back some special memories...and warmed my heart. Thank you sweet ladies so so so much!

This is my favorite you both play great. just today I ran upon you on Facebook my son passed away on July 16th it been the hardest thing ever. he had CP blind crippled did not communicate his seizures took him home to be with Jesus He smiled and laughed 5 hours before passing away. what a blessing he was. this music is just what i needed for sure. It seems that I saw two ladies from Middle Earth playing here as well. Just marvelous, simply marvelous.
I can imagine some might be confused by a cover of Carol of the Bells without bells. The idea sounds a bit odd. But the music sounds beautiful. As always, these ladies have created pure magic with their harps, in this case, Christmas magic. This performance is enchanting and brimming with holiday cheer, and it even shines through in the video despite the cold they must have felt while filming, a real gift to all of us. It's perfect listening for any Christmas festivity!
Philip Browning It's a Ukrainian New Years' folk song about the gloom of Winter and the hope of Spring, originally called Shchedryck.
The lyrics were changed when it was adapted to Carol of the Bells. But since there are no lyrics...

A canon is a cycle and we wanted our video to encompass the cycle of life... so we chose a beautiful cemetery in the Spring. I know it would be a huge amount of work, but you should do a Christmas album. It would be hugely popular. Maybe create two songs a year. It would be done in 5 years. I know it seems like a long time but it's not. You're in your 20's, I'm in my 60's. 5 years is nothing.
