Legitimately the best how to video I’ve ever seen, no shenanigans, no wasting time just straight to the point.
This is one of the best how to auto videos I’ve ever seen!
The way you speak as you're doing stuff is spot on.
Everyone watching this video is either about to replace their truck stereo, or about to sell me someone elses stereo on Ebay. Great video, thank you so much!
How do you install an after market stereo deck?
Precise and perfect instructions thanks !!!!
Thanks man! great detailed explanations. The only thing I would add is the screw head size. I use it for prep work. But loved it , I have broke tabs before because of that one missing/overlooked screw :) ***** 5 STARS!!! *****
It was like a glove getting it out. Thanks!
Once again... I knew "The Internets" wouldn't let me down!
I can fix ANYTHING with access to CZcams!
Great Video!
The best tutorial I’ve ever watched wow!

Great to the point video. Thanks
I have a 2012 GMC Sierra and it's the same one. Now I know how to remove it thanks...
Is the GPS module located behind the radio on my 2013 Sierra 1500?
Straight to the point 👍
I noticed this has xm, how do I get Sirius in my 2010 GMC Sierra?
Hello do you know if this system will work in a 2009 GMC SIERRA 1500 Hieha Car Stereo Compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 7 Inch Double Din Car Stereo with Bluetooth, Touch Screen Car Radios MP5 Player with A/V Input, Backup Camera, Mirror Link, SWC
super helpful video, thanks guys
Is the radio a double din radio or a little smaller than double din?
What size can sterio can I fit in my truck without buying any harness just a plug in play I have the same truck
Good video 👍🏼
These style radios are pretty common in most GM vehicles i've noticed. I would assume that the one in my 2006 imapla is almost if not the same thing. I was wondering if there is a fix for the volume knob on these, where you rotate the volume and nothing happens at all in either direction. Every other button works on the unit, and the steering wheel volume controls work fine. The actual power button works if you push down...Just thought I'd ask since this is the only video you guys have showing this style unit. Thanks.
GM is tricky. Although they look (almost) the same, they force you to have them unlocked. You can use replacements from other vehicles but you have to unlock them first (another youtube video...).
Why do you have to put parking brake on and put I. Low gear?
Never mind I figured it out lol
What did putting it in a lower gear have anything to do with the radio removal. That’s like me turning off the water to my house in order to re-shingle my roof??????
It's to aid removing the plastic dash piece around the radio
precise!
Thanks
Who is doing all the heavy breathing in the background ? Lol
yes
Wow 3 and a half minutes? I thought it was going to be hard....
Took me 10 minutes. Swapped just the faces, so I didn't have to worry about gendering the chip to my VIN #
I would like to know why he had to turn the ignition on and put the truck into a lower gear. Watching the video I did not see any benefit to doing this.
chukarwalker Looks like he did it to get the gear shifter out of the way. Gives him more room to work.
Thanks James, I went out and looked at my truck after seeing this and that was the only thing that I could figure out too. Thanks for responding.
It gives clearance for the left AC duct. Just pulled apart a 2013 Silverado. I dropped and lost the last screw when removing the radio... grr. It is simple enough for a DIY to remove the panel below the steering wheel(2 x Phillips screws and a 10mm bolt between left screw and OBD plug. And the panel below radio panel(2 x 7mm on left side). I was surprised the clips didn't break. Everything snapped apart and together easy enough. Found the screw tho.
VIN locked stereo? What a joke.
