      First of all, wouldnt really make sense physically, because the rotation of planets is in line with their rotation around the sun. Second of all life on earth wouldnt be possible anymore, because the side facing the sun would be extremly hot and the rest extremly cold

      ​@@andir7374 The rotation of the planets is not necessarily in line with them rotating around the sun. Uranus rotates at 97 degrees, with one of the poles facing the sun.
      Life would be possible along the border between the light and dark hemisphere in this case.
      Or, if the planet rotated sideways in such a way where we still had days, we largely wouldn't see much change if it continues to rotate its axis to be parallel to the sun.

      @@andir7374 The moon plays more of a role in our axis than the sun does. Also, the world would still be rotating, the sun would just go north/south instead of east/west. The main thing that would change would be ocean currents, just like in this video.

    If this happened, I believe the Amazon would disappear almost entirely, as winds carry currently carry sand and minerals to South America from the Sahara. With the winds shifted and the Sahara gone, the Amazon would slowly wither away from lack of nutrients.

    I grew up with a lot of smart Polish kids . So on one occasion our teacher was spinning a globe in front of us and one of my very intelligent friends, had to remind the teacher that she was spinning the globe in the wrong direction . That it rotated the other way. He was correct and she fixed her mistake and began spinning the globe in the proper direction. We were in 4 or 5 th grade I believe

    Hmm i feel like the environment that develops under these conditions is better than what we have now. More forested area total. Most major forests seem like they stay in place, and areas that aren't that forested to begin with become desertified.

    I know my comment is really late, but you forgot to speak about changes in rivers, as rivers are strongly affected by spin of the Earth(the difference between river's left and right banks and sometimes even the flow itself), so almost all rivers would suddenly flood as some will slightly shift to one side and others would suddenly speed up or slow down
