- I've loved using my Bissell SpotClean Pro for the last two years, but I had to replace it. Fortunately my NEW Bissell came in quickly and I was able to use it on my most recent detail. I forgot how good of a machine it is when new.

I hope this new Bissell lasts as long as my old one. It is a GREAT little machine for the price.
I have a Bissel for detailing duties as well. Old style hose. But what im REALLY envious of that you have is compressed air. It would make things a LOT easier especially in between the seats. Here in FL, the biggest enemy I have is beach sand. Cant EVER get it all out of the carpet. Ugh...
For sure. Compressed air is a game changer with that Tornador. Such a time saver.
I recently purchased the spotclean pro and it came with the black hose which feels cheaper in a sense. It can be squished between your fingers which in my eyes means it can kink.
So I messaged Bissell about this and their response was “The new SpotClean's come with a black hose, rather than a clear one. This hose is slightly more durable than the previous clear one. Neither of these should kink.”
So yeah make of that what you will. I guess time will tell haha
Lovely job Scrapper ! I have just bought the same machine after seeing yours last week! Going to give it a run out on Sunday on my son’s car. Well done as always 👍
Good luck Simon. Let me know how it goes!
The old style hose is well known for tearing around the handle. Hopefully, they realized this and fixed the problem with the new hose.
I hope so. The new hose feels so much more forgiving and flexible. Built to last maybe?
@@ScrappersDetailing There's a video with the following title Carpet Cleaner Down! Bissell SpotClean Pro broken hose fix..like new repair! I did this repair and at the end of the video he makes a good suggestion and that is not to store the handle under tension on the spool. That will hopefully prevent excessive stress on the hose/nozzle junction which is where they commonly break.
@Enigma758 That makes total sense! The new hose isn’t under tension coiled up. At least that’s how it feels.
@@ScrappersDetailing Well that's good, maybe Bissell was aware of the problem and fixed it with the new design.
Hey scrapper! I'm just curious as to why you went with a new bissel over something like a shop-vac extractor
Good question. I REALLY, REALLY wanted to go with the Mytee, but the one I want (HP60 Spyder) costs around $1,700. I don't have running water in the shop, so the Shop-Vac version just won't work. I have looked into that, but just won't work for me at this time.
Great job and nice new machine for all your filthy interiors you get 😂
Thanks much! Yes, it's definitely a needed machine for the interiors that I see.
Morning, my man. My wife bought me the Bissel Pro. The hose cracked and kinked after one use. I returned it.
Wow! I guess I should feel lucky to get 2 years worth of use out of mine. Did it have the clear or black hose?
@@ScrappersDetailing Yes sir. It had the black hose and my immediate thought was how flimsy the hose felt. I used it on my wife’s Jeep - driver’s foot well and the hose sure enough couldn’t handle the twisting and moving around. And the foot well wasn’t that dirty, I was just doing a test run. I use weathertech mats in all my vehicles - my commuter car, my truck, and my wife’s Jeep. I think my wife wanted to buy me something, because she never knows what to buy me. I see something I want and I buy it and she says I never giver her or the kids a chance to buy me anything. 🤷🏼♂️
@@joe.olivet Well that doesn't give me much hope for this Bissell lasting Joe! I'll have to be extra gentle I guess.
