To all of the complaints why she didn't tell Daryl about Rick, it is because she is afraid that she will lose him too because he will go and try to find Rick.
I know. Rick was a brother to Daryl by the relationship they grew over the years!!! Both Daryl and Carol has come so far since Atlanta!!!!!
I think thats why Virgil is Back so hes the one telling them about Rick or i dont know

Judith and Daryl till the end!!! As Beth said "you're going to be the last man standing" and Daryl would die for Judith for Rick
@Negan Wow negan! Hi man!
Being a parent is the kiss of death on this show
@Negan omg. I just realized how accurate this is Lee is Rick and Daryl is Kenny and once Lee died Kenny took over. The only slight difference is Kenny can go crazy sometimes and Daryl is more chill now, he's not always looking for a fight

Just the blatant respect and love he has for her even though she’s just a kid. He’s giving it to her real and letting her know that even if she looses someone that there are plenty more people who love her. I read this as the scene played
Fuck man.
This whole scene was so well written
I gotta remember this
Embroidery and pillow worthy
I've seen savage Daryl, pissed off Daryl but I never would have thought I would see father figure Daryl
It was already quite clear to me since season 2 that Daryl seemed to have a particular strong paternal instinct.
It is no coincidence that the show is giving him more growth surrounding that trait.
He is still an evolving character with some serious mental issues he needs to overcome.
@@nuttydishwasher5377 the latest episode i saw of the walking dead was the season 10 finale but recently I haven't watching because I don't don't if its come back yet
Well, he was fatherly about Sophia and Beth.
@@tarawalsh-arpaia3928 i'd argue with that... he wasn't trying to teach beth anything. he perceived her as an adult, just a little dumb and spoiled. i think that the main difference between these is that when you speak to a child, you're trying to teach him something, no matters he knows that or not yet. but when you speak to an adult, you discuss, and argue, and disagree, and may even be angry because they don't understand something, but you don't underrate it. especially after she'd shown her being adult after (ironically) drinking moonshone with him in the barn. because at this moment they shared opinions and he accepted that he has to leave his past behind. after that they remained as equals, but didn't disargee to each other as they used to.
@@user-qe9vn6jq1z i agree with what you say here. Interesting points that you make. My husband thought there was a romantic sort of thing between them, which I can see in some parts but am glad they didn't go there. she was very young but maybe, in a way, that allowed Darryl to be his vulnerable self and to show it. Maybe that is why he is so sensitive to children. He was badly abused as a child and can appreciate them as people who think and feel and struggle, too. It is a beautiful way of developing his character now that I think about it. He's able to protect them now and he is a Protector. I think that may be the heart of his connection to Carol. They've both been woven by the same cloth, as they say.
They should have never killed Carl off

@@NeonZXK4472 No thats incorrect. It was Scott Gimple's decision purely based on how he wanted the story to go. Chandler Rigg's father even made it clear that he did not want out of the show.

This scene looks sad. Daryl is like a dad for Judith. ❤️
Pᴜʀɢᴇғɪɴx yes it was a good mirror of the scene with Rick and Carl in the barn after Dale died. I loved it.

A. JORDANA yea me too😭😭

Big mistake killing off Carl, would of been a great bonding storyline to have Judith and Carl as "orphans" who get adopted by everyone in Ricks group.

This. This right here is why The Walking Dead is my favourite show of all time. The character's we've watched grow over the years, the music, the acting (Norman has been phenomenal this season). I really can't put into words what this show means to me.
Sam Shaw omg same 😭😭
daryl is my favorite on the show i understand where u coming from they need to keep going
@@lilyreiser8808 just take a quick listen to daryl his voice in his first appearance and come back to this video... its insane, like the whole damn show.
I totally feel the same way. This show means everything to me, too. I've been re-watching since the beginning recently (again!), and the lessons about life and what it means to be human are just really profound. Also, yeah, the character development over all the seasons has been phenomenal. We really saw that in the last few seasons with Norman, especially. It's hard not to love Daryl so hard. Don't know what I'd do without my TWD.
@@kryss.4725 Oh, I have done that too. Be careful. Knowing what is going to happen makes it even worse in parts such as the prison season when they all get sick and the killing of Herschel. That was brutal. And Abraham. That moment when Sophia walks out of the barn and Daryl grabs Carol... and how he grieves for that child. After that, the writers went totally off the wall. We had the Governor all over again with Neegan and then all these sci-fi fantasy groups like the Kingdom (utter insult, especially after the prison and Terminus). Killing Bob. Such a great character, great actor from The Wire. Those first seasons will bring you home and kill you all over again. That hospital and Beth and Noah. The line: 'We've been out here too long.' That is real.
If Daryl dies I'm never watching another episode
Always said that myself. end of.
I stopped when Rick left, but I keep coming back to see Daryl
I think the showrunners know better than to ever get rid of Daryl.
He's definitely not gonna die cause there's gonna be a spin-off with Daryl and Carol after TWD is over

Daryl breaks my heart each time he cries. There's something about his expression that just touches the deepest part of your soul.. can't explain.
“Nothing can take the place of someone you love being gone. But that doesn’t mean that everything that follows is going to break your heart.”
Meryl, we miss you. Daryl has had a rough life, man.
This dialogue serves up a home run by demonstrating that blood ISN’T always thicker than water. It’s about who you choose to love and care for. I absolutely love this scene.
I just love Daryl....he's still a bad boy, but with a softened heart. Ah he's perfect ❤
Darryl is uncle of the year!!!
Forget everything else but the child's and Daryls acting in the scene. The child is rightfully emotional and Daryl is more realistic yet loving.
Honestly, i'd like to see daryl's face when he know that rick still alive
I think he might cry, a bit
But you know he will go look for him and these groups can’t survive without him
Yeah Rick never died he just left, well what I know
right because he also chose leah over him so that’s gonna he interesting
Personally I think it would break daryl if he knew rick was still alive. He's spent so long thinking he was dead and to see him walking and breathing would be enough to break him. He would either hate rick with his entire life or be in such a state where he wouldn't know what is real and what isnt. he would question everything he's done in "ricks name" since ricks supposed death and it would probably slowly turn him insane deep down. thats my take on it atleast. hope it makes sense hahaha
This child is amazing ! Great actress !!!
She really isn't. Remember young Carl? And Sophia? Carl was the better actor by far. He was just a kid that had to learn and live and keep on going while being an actual kid that had to learn and live and lose and keep on going. She was just born developed already. We never had to watch all the way as she developed like Carl. And the actor Carl was just a child. That prison season, the farm.... the minute Carl missed the shot at Neegan, I lost the mirage of truth in the show and it has deteriorated since. Carl would NEVER miss a shot.
@@tarawalsh-arpaia3928 Why are you comparing actors?

What if his ex comes back with a CHILDDDDDDD!??!?
This message weirdly applies to TWD fans, we lost so many characters thru the years. Funnily enough it's being said by Daryl. Gotta love the dedication and the love Norman has for the show, he's been with us all along. To more people like Norman Reedus.
You do realise it's his job, right?
And the funny thing is, Daryl doesn't exist in the comics, so I'm surprised he hasn't died. Not that I want him to.
@@xPetyr And he loves his job and wants to keep doing it unlike the other actors who quit because they got sick of it
@@xPetyr With Norman's popularity he could be anywhere he wanted but he chose to dedicate himself to TWD unlike Lauren Cohan for example, you can't put a price on that.
@petyr? U there? Did those good points hit you too hard?
That scene right there deserves and Emmy. That little girl is an incredible actress and so is Norman
The best “uncle and niece” scene in tv period. I don’t care what anyone else say. Daryl talking to her like a father figure/role model is the most heartwarming to me.
The differences between the show and the comic book just amazes me imagine the show without these two characters
Then Coral would still be alive and following on his dad's footsteps

I cry in almost every scene Daryl is in. He has such a big heart. 😍
Daryl is like her dad tbh, she never really met her dad more so when she’s older so she might not be able to remember him but Daryl really stepped up and it’s adorable. Rick meant it when he said Daryl was his brother, they all take care of each other.
I love Judith and Daryl's bond!!!! Judith knows how much Daryl loved Rick and it was why she was too afraid to tell him because she doesn't want him to leave too!!! I hope his story will not end disappointing (I don't know how far his actor wants to go) and I do hope the conclusion to the original series will be satisfying!!!!
Norman Reedus who plays Daryl has said multiple times that he was in the show from the beginning and he wants to be in it until the end.
@@Guyjemm yup and he said that he'll keep playing until the show gets to a point where it's no longer good anymore but since s9 the show has been good again so he wont be leaving us:)

“Nothing can take the place of someone you love being gone. That doesn’t mean that everything that follows is gonna break your heart.”

this was by far Daryl`s best quote of the entire series
"There's a whole buncha people who would do anything for you. And when you grow up, they're gonna need you to do anything for them."
That's an outstanding line.
“Nothing can take the place of someone you love being gone” Wise words from Daryl. I got chills when I first heard this line. It made me think of somebody who is very important to me that I lost long ago. Since then, I have never been the same. Yet I still find ways to keep them alive through my actions. Their presence is still felt. This scene means a lot to me.
Daryl is definitely my fave character if he dies I’ll probably stop watching it’s not the same without most of the main characters being there.
Total truth.
Daryl doesn't talk much and he may not be a good babysitter but he has a warm heart towards kids.
I think that this is probably the sweetest moment I’ve ever seen with Daryl. He’s definitely my favorite character!
me too! what ep is this do u know?
judith is so older and mature even tho she's really young to live in a dead world
norman is just like daryl in real life. he’s so sweet and he’s got a huge heart but he isn’t scared to tell you the truth. he was very sweet when i met him. the character daryl was actually specifically made for norman reedus.
Such a great scene, great work Cailey & Norman!
No one can take the place of someone you love being gone, but that doesn't mean that everything else that follows is going to break your heart .-daryl
omfg i just want to give her a hug and tell her everything's gonna be okay
This scene made me cry. TWD hasn't done that to me in awhile and it wasn't even a death scene or anything.
That last line by Daryl was beautiful about people you love. My girlfriend of 11 years ran of with an 18 year old kid 2 years ago ( she was 26) took my son and everything. But it's true not everything will break your heart my son calls me every day I've since got into a new job that I love ( of due to covid 19 ) and I've made some wonderful friends I wouldn't have before. Also that little girl is fabulous you rarely see such acting from a child her age but she really does sell it.
You’re girlfriend fell in love with someone who had just turned into an adult, and took your kid? Is she the kid’s mother? Why would she do that to you? Why haven’t you gone to court if she isn’t the kid’s mother? Sorry this story of yours has got me questioning.
@@manwithopinions12 sorry I'll elaborate she is the mother and in the UK 18 is the age if consent shes not done anything illegal I just think it's a shitty thing to do. Who’s going to cry and Ricks and Daryl when they hug and rick says that’s my brother
No he says "Hello Brother"
This is truly one of my favorite scenes in the whole series. Think about it, this show started in 2010, whether or not you've read or prefer the comics... you can't deny that this show touches your heart on all counts. It really is incredible.
Daryl said he can't promise, so he may never know about the Rick situation :((
But I feel for Judith tho, c'mon you guys the kid doesn't have both of her parents. She's scared that her one and only uncle might leave her and she'll have no one truly there she really knows (except Negan) he could probably be a parent to lil Grimes.
Daryl would die for Judith for Rick... I just beg that Rick and Daryl meet again like when Daryl hands Rick back his magnum
Technically she was orphaned a long time ago. Her only father she knows is missing thought to be dead and now she has reason to think maybe he’s not and her only mother she knows is gone. She has been held at knife point as a baby, captured by crazy child cannibal cult and covered in a walker blood covered poncho, traveled across the country, knows how to use a sword and a gun, probably a crossbow too, now she’s learning to track. She’s a freakin force to be reckoned with, they better not ruin/ignore her characters potential than kill her off like they did Carl.
She's better than comic Judith......if you catch my drift......hehehe.....ill leave now
She has no parents because the actors who play Rick and Michonne made the stupid decision to leave the show. Leaving her in an awkward situation.
