Purchased the wireless controls and temperature sensor. Two zones - Things worked fine for four days. Then one zone started reading “weak signal”, then eventually disappeared from Kumo cloud. A few hours later the same thing happened with the second zone. Checked on line; said there were no issues with Kumo cloud. My Wi-Fi access was working on point for everything else. I returned the controllers; will be looking at other, more reliable options.

This video explains exactly what I'm looking for! Can you post links to the products? Also if I have multiple units will I have to buy multiple adaptors (option 1) or multiple thermostats (option 2)?

Does this work with any brand mini split or just Mitsubishi

Thanks for a great video. I wasn't sure, however, how would any of the approaches work with a multi unit setup. I have three units and would love to get them all to a central control unit like nest or Kumo. Curious what's the beat approach for multi unit setup. Thanks in advance!

If I have 2 mini splits in my tiny home, do I need to purchase 2 Kumo clouds? Reason I’m asking, will both kumo devices be connected to the app?

I have a Mitsubishi ductless that the kumo cloud app quit working I tried 4 hrs. To get it connected back to my unit call tech support they walked me through the settings process still would not connect. I ordered a new adapter same results no connection would happen even though it said I had a strong connection to my unit . I am confident that I have done the correct steps , WiFi password is no doubt correct. I’m wandering if I should try the red link mk1 Honeywell thermostat ?
My HVAC installer is lost when it gets complicated using technology!

Love the video because it addresses what I have been looking for. I bought a new built house with MSZ-EF Wal mourned Mitsubishi Multi Head Split system. I have 5 indoor units in 5 rooms. I really want to use my nest thermostat from my old house and control everything through google.
I want to ask I live in Australia, will the Thermostat adaptor from Option 3 work with my indoor unit model? If yes then after wiring from this adaptor to Nest, what AC functions I can control and which ones I will sacrifice compared to using IR handheld remote?
    Please help me.
    Thank you

Sensibo Air works with most any minisplit. Has their own app and even Homekit compatible.

I have a Lennox ducted mini-split model MPB012S4S-1P. Will any of the options you describe for Mitsubishi work for a Lennox mini-split?

Thanks for this video. I already have a Honeywell Wifi thermostat leftover from an old HVAC system. Model TH6320WF02. Can I use this to control Mitsubishi air handlers and wall unit inverters if I purchase the THM6000R7001 gateway? Or do I have to use the Mitsubishi Redlink kit which is more expensive?

To what location does a PAC-US44CN-1 adapter install into a Mitsubishi MLZ-KP09NA? Does it install at the bottom of the unit between the unit base and the cover? I want to make sure the adapter doesn't need to be installed on the side/above prior to installing insulation around the unit. Thank you!

Excellent review of the options, thanks. For the third option, where inside of a wall mounted unit do you place the PAC-US444 and the thermostat?

Look at the reviews in the app store for Kumo, I am also looking for another option.

Why is the copper pipes condensation on my Mitsubishi units leaking thru the ceiling? The insulation is soaked.

Thanks for this overview. Very helpful. I have one question though. We don’t yet have any smart thermostats in our Apple HomeKit home, but hope to automate all that soon. At the same time we are putting on an addition and will be installing a Mitsubishi mini split wall unit. I’d like to add an Ecobee as it seems the only HomeKit option comparable to Nest. Is there a difference in the Mitsubishi units where some newer/higher end models allow more support than the base models? In context of the post features by using a 3rd party, more flexible standard.

      @Ecomfortholdings  Před 4 lety +1

Hi, Jim. The Ecobee turns your variable speed mini split unit into a single-stage which negates the efficiency benefits. We would recommend the Kumo Cloud, which is Alexa and Google Assistant enabled. It will also work with IFTTT networks. www.ecomfort.com/manuals/mitsubishi-036d7da371ee81e9683090b738441978.pdf

Kumo cloud is a waste of time and money, Mitsubishi should be ashamed for selling such garbage.
