Hi Nasim. I'm not sure that this song can be played on other types of kalimbas. It's intended for the Hugh Tracey Karimba. To learn you need 2 things: 1. Karimba tuned into Lotus scale. 2. The sheet music. If you don't read sheet music, you can use the midi file which shows you piano keys playing the melody and play according to this.
This is outstanding playing. You have a natural sense of polymetricity which is African which is obviously where the Kalimba comes from. But the rhythms in the sample sheet music are misnotated. YOu are not playing a straight 1/8th note rhythm as indicated on the sheet music. You are playing on the bottom line 123, 123, 12. repeated. So there are three articulations against the melody line 4. So basically you have a very complex 3 against 4 which is very difficult for most people. But you do it naturally but anybody who tries to learn it from the sheet music that can read music is going to have a problem unless they have a good ear. The notes aren't that important because it will sound good as long as you get the rhythm correct.
Thank you for your comment. You are right, it's 3 against 4 and some people miss it in the sheet music were left and right hands are separated, but I also offer a score without separation and I can assure you, it's impossible to go wrong with that one.
SaReGaMa I've corrected the sheet music and can share it on Noteflight if you agree :) I won't take any credit for it and will give a link to your website.
Michsialski PL It's tuned to a minor scale missing the second note, two full octaves, so you can play anything that such a scale allows. Also, you can retune it virtually to any scale, so there's no limitations of what you can play.
This is funny because I already tried to make a song of it already, before you released the sheets: H T T P S soundcloud com/the-vizier/kalimba-house-wip (fill in the missing characters) should have waited a few months! haha. Love your music!
Learn what? This was made with a computer, putting the notes down with a mouse in a computer program I have. It's called FL Studio 11, is that what you're asking?

Michsialski PL I don't agree. This is a copyrighted composition, it's not for sharing. Thanks.
