Thanks very much!... yeah I think it's going to get mighty busy with updates and more big updates. Played with Pika 1.0 quite a lot but not getting the best results at the moment. (Edit… more tweaks and the results are pretty great at times… not always but sometimes)

Runway constantly giving updates to Gen 2 is so cool..Can't even predict where we will be at the next new year's eve.
Yeah, it's really impressive. Just working on a video comparing 4 AI video generation platforms. Runway is coming out very well.
On par with Pixar or better level tech that even a baby could use 🤯

hi there,, can you please do a video on how to animate a burning candle (image - to - video)... i have been trying for a long time, but I can never get a nice result.. it takes me at least 20-25 triasl to get something ok
Great video, need to check back in with Runway. The main thing Ive tried to get out of Runway so far is using it to "render" effects/lighting onto Maya 3d playblasts and comp it with the original. After a bunch of testing Im a bit disapointed with what I got, the program doesnt really understand how to change rendering style without altering the objects/characters into something else. Have you had any success in combining Runway with 3d animation in this way? Id be curious to know.
The motion brush is great though, by far the most useful addition theyve made so far imo.
Thanks. Yeah I've done similar things using Gen.1 on runway to add styles to grey scale 3D renders. Though the resolution/quaility from Gen 1 (whilst cool, wasn't the best... I'm not sure if it's been improved at all since they've focused on improving Gen.2). Alternatively, I've seen some cool results when using AnimatedDiff via ComfyUI to apply 'effect'lighting' based on text or image prompts onto premade 3D grey scale animation. (using Controlnets). Far more technical but with some great results possible.
@@invisibletoenail . Yeah 100%, it adds that first element of control that the AI video generations were lacking, whilst still making it quick to produce content. As always, more control would still be nice to have. Similarly in-painting in Pika 1.0 is a great feature too.

Thanks for commenting. Yeah, whilst you can extend the generations 4 times it does get a bit more 'wonky' as it goes.

Can you explain the seed number? Is that somethimg we adjust or no need?
It's a random number assigned to each generation. But if you get a generation you liked the result with. You can copy the seed number from that and use it in a new generation to achieve similar results, whilst you still adjust the reference image/ text prompt or camera controls. 👍
