Please do use sunscreen.. i too made the same mistake.. till age 24 I was not using anything on my face and my skin was totally exposed to sun.. as a result it turned very sensitive.. i suffered a lot after that.. thankfully now i am fine (now i am 31).. now I use sunscreen and moisturizer..
I respect the doctor's opinion but as a doctor myself, I would say absolutely no to chemical sunscreens till your baby is at least 8 months old. Do not expose her to too much sun especially around noon. Early Morning sun exposure is really important on naked skin without any sunblock
See its your baby you can do anything with her but don't promote this things,being a skin care consultant doesn't mean you start recommending or applying creams and lotions everywhere and on everyone....being a skin consultant you should recommend how can a person use minimum cosmetics and keep skin healthy naturally.....
This is like saying food is safe - but what , why, how, when, where are the basic questions need to be answered, in India acute kidney diseases are on rise cause of mercury in the cosmetics (including sunscreen) , before saying anything....genuinly show which brand you are using in real not promotion, rather than quoting vaguely... However, avoiding the sun isn’t always possible, such as in a car seat, at the beach, or on days with a high UV index. In these situations, I prefer to apply a lil sunscreen to small exposed areas like the face. You'd ask why Chemical? That's just my personal preference Chemical aka Organic sunscreens offer slightly better UVA protection and are not irritating(if they use the newer filters), don’t rub off easily with friction, are cosmetically elegant (no white cast, feel like moisturizer), and are just as safe as physical sunscreens despite rumors. However, I recommend using sunscreens specially formulated for babies. I like @larocheposay ANTHELIOS DP Baby SPF50+.. You could try whatever you think is safer your baby.

You are not here to prove others, but as a mother you need to think about your child's skin. It's a basic sense that the just born baby and an infant of 3 months old skin would be so tender and using harsh chemical on her skin is absolute harmful.

Mercury is in products not from reputed brands but from brands which aren't soo popular and those whitening creams but not sunscreens
