There is no point in choosing MBBS just to tell others that you are a doctor. Students with high intelligence and passion for this profession only must go for this. If salary and comfort matters better not to go. Bcos you are delaing with life… with humans .. If not getting admission here going to some countries with very low quality education for MBBS and passing out as useless doctors which can affect the quality of health care and inturn which affect the life of public .Better people with materialistic importance do not go for this profession as a strong dedication is needed .
What is the need to study MBBS. You can become lecturer in government nursing college and get the same salary that a MBBS doctor lecturer gets in government medical College.. Government nursing college professor and government medical College professor get the same salary even though one is nurse and other one is doctor.. It is better to go and study some other course. Private hospitals give very low salary to MBBS doctors... Government school teacher gets more salary than doctor in private hospital. Government school teacher works for 200 days in a year, 8 hours per day. Total.. 1600 hours per year.. Private hospital doctor has to work for 320 days in a year, 12 hours per day. Total.. 3840 hours per year.. So, even though the private hospital doctor is working for more than 2.5 times hours compared to government school teacher, the government school teacher gets more salary.. Also in government service, All types of doctors have the same salary... That is in government service, a Government MBBS doctor, BAMS, BHMS, BDS and veterinary doctor all get the same salary... But, the work load of a government MBBS doctor is much greater than that of government BDS, BAMS, BHMS, vetinary doctor etc... Government MBBS doctor have to do night duty, casualty duty etc... While government BAMS, BHMS doctors do not have to do it even though they are getting the same salary... Also, in government service, lecturers in medical college, nursing college, pharmacy college, vetinary college are all getting the same salary, even though the doctor has passed MBBS and the nurse has passed nursing and pharmacist has passed pharmacy, vetinary doctor has passed BVSC ... Also, government lecturers in BAMS, BHMS, vetinary are getting the same salary as MBBS... But, are doing only half the work load of MBBS.. Also MBBS doctor has to take great risk and have to face medical negligence cases and may get assaulted by relatives of patients. While other occupations don't have this risk.. There are 91,927 MBBS seats in India. There are 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 PG Diploma and 1,338 DNB CET seats. Total of 42,077 Post graduation seats in India.. So, only less than 50% of MBBS doctors will get admission to post graduation... So, do not study MBBS thinking that you will get post graduate admission later. When you pass MBBS at 22 years, you will find that your school 12 th standard classmates who went to study BTech are getting more than 5 times your salary.. Example.. if you get high rank in NEET and study MBBS in AIIMS Delhi, private hospital will give Rs. 50,000 (50 thousand) salary per month.. But, if you get high rank in IIT JEE and study in IIT, private companies will give you 5,00,000 (5 lakh) salary per month.. Also, instead of wasting time studying all subjects of MBBS, if you study any other graduate course and use one-tenth study time and effort to prepare for some state public service commission examination or UPSC examination to other government posts, you will get employment in many government posts in various departments that have the same salary as government doctor, but need to work only less than half the duty time of government doctor. Also, if you get any Visa to go to foreign countries, the MBBS degree from India is not recognised in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia etc and so you have to prepare for and pass the qualifying examination of those countries to work in those countries. And so you cannot do any job in those foreign countries without passing the qualifying examination. Less than 50 % of doctors who appear are able to pass these qualifying examination. Many doctors from India who married foreign citizens and went to those countries were unable to pass these qualifying examinations and are now doing other kind of jobs like cashier in supermarket, bouncer in bar, security staff.. But, if you have passed any other course like BTech, BSC, MSc, bcom, etc all these degrees are recognised in these foreign countries and you can get job without having to pass any kind of qualifying examination.. So, studying MBBS is a waste of time. Less than 50% of MBBS doctors get government job and less than 50% MBBS doctors get post graduation admission to MD or MS. Most MBBS doctors are doing very low paying job in private hospitals. Also, in government medical education service, medical college professor, nursing college professor , dental college professor, vetinary college professor, homeo college professor, Ayurveda college professor all have the same salary... though allopathic doctors have more than 5 times the work load, the salary is same as that of other doctors.. Also, in government health service MBBS doctor, BDS dentist, Ayurveda doctor, homeo doctor , vetinary doctor all have the same salary.

This is what developed countries like Canada are facing. Doctors are leaving such countries due to stress, long working hours and unerpaid.
Good info . True any job will have plus and negetives. Passion for the same is important in the medical field. Now some stringent rules has been framed by the Govts to protect the clinicians against the mob voilances. Same way there has been unwanted litigations also filed against the clinicans towards the medical negligence. In some cases there might be chances of negligence. This is another problems faced by the clinicians and the challenges I am not a clinicians, but was worked in health care industry in administrative positions. Actually there isn't much development in medical field stricto sensu. Development is chemistry, electonics and biomedical engineering is often confused as development in medical field.
Regarding maths, it's wrong to think that you don't need maths in mbbs. Epidemiology and statistics is a part of community medicine. You will be made to do presentation on data collected by you from general public. And you should have to calculate things in first year mbbs as a part of biochemistry. I have seen students struggling with division and multiplication. Calculation based questions are part of OSPE sometimes. Fir eg calculate urea clearence etc. if you take mbbs you also have to do post graduation. There is something called thesis. Even if you pay somebody to do statistics you have to atleast tell them what to do and calculate. 😂 And dose calculation of drug prescription is another thing during practice.

But the reality is hard. ഫിനാൻഷ്യൽ stability ആണ് പലരുടെയും ലക്ഷ്യം. തുറന്നു പറഞ്ഞില്ലെങ്കിൽ പോലും.എന്നാൽ കുറഞ്ഞത് 10 വർഷം അതിനായി വേണ്ടി വരുന്നു. പെൺകുട്ടികളൊക്കെ ഇതിനിടയിൽ വിവാഹം, വൈകിയുള്ള ഗർഭധാരണം, fertility treatments, അങ്ങനെ പല അവസ്ഥകൾക്കും വിധേയരാകേണ്ടി വരുന്നു. Non clinical subjects എടുക്കുന്നവർ ഏറെക്കുറെ stress free ആണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. എപ്പോഴും top ആയി പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന കുട്ടികൾ ആകും മിക്കവാറും medical field തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക. പക്ഷെ അതേ സമയം കൂടെ പഠിച്ചവരൊക്കെ ജോലി നേടുന്നതും settle ആകുന്നതും, എല്ലാം ഇവരെ മോശമായി ബാധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
Job satisfaction ലഭിക്കാൻ പോലും cardio പോലുള്ള specialization വേണം താനും. ജോലിക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ബഹുമാനം, സ്നേഹം, അതൊക്കെ വളരെ വലുതാണ്. പക്ഷെ അതിലേക്ക് എത്തിപ്പെടുക ഒരു കടമ്പ തന്നെ. സ്വയം വിലയിരുത്തി കുട്ടികൾ തീരുമാനിക്കട്ടെ ❤️

ലൈഫിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ വേണ്ടത് സന്തോഷവും സമാധാനവും ആണ്. അത് കൊണ്ട് ഒരിക്കലും ഒരു dr ആകുക എന്നുള്ളത് wise choice അല്ല ( in my opinion ). ഒരു doctor 100 hours ഒരു ആയിച്ചയിൽ വർക്ക്‌ ചെയ്യണം എന്നിട്ടും അത്ര വലിയ salary ഒന്നുമില്ല.... (ഇയാൾ പറഞ്ഞ പോലെ )എന്നാൽ ഇതിനേക്കാൾ better ആയിട്ടുള്ള career ഓപ്ഷൻസ് ഉണ്ട് ഇത്രക്ക് competetion ഉം ഇല്ല 👍. ഇത്ര സമയം വർക്കും ചെയ്യണ്ട എന്നാൽ ഇതിനേക്കാൾ salary ഉം കിട്ടും 👍so നിങ്ങൾക്ക് dr എന്നതിനോട് അത്രക് passion ഉണ്ടങ്കിൽ മാത്രം choose ചെയ്താൽ മതി👍.

Usually almost ella coaching institutes even those managed by doctors knows the reality and are literally fooling students by giving false hopes and trying to glorify the profession as if its the only respectable profession but the irony is that these doctors who are doing entrance coaching are not interested in practicing as a doctor but understands the possibility of making a business out of selling this notion of Being a doctor and making money out of plustwo passouts. @@Justonelife21 it's a complicated question, ഇത് ഓരോ ആളിനെ depend ചെയ്ത ഇരിക്കും. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഒരു ideas and താത്പര്യങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത പഠിക്കുന്ന ആൾക്കു best course ആണ് medicine. അതേ സമയം വേറേ interest business, സ്വന്തമായി പലതും ചെയ്യൻ കഴിവ് ഉള്ള ആൾക്കു വെറെ courses എടുക്കുന്ന ആണ് നല്ലത്. Medicine എന്ന field നല്ല commitment അതിലേയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ട field ആണ്, അത്ര commitment ഇല്ലാതെ വെറുതേ Dr ആവാൻ ഇറങ്ങി തിരിച്ചാൽ നല്ല പണി means നല്ല stress ആവും ഓരോ ദിനവും. എല്ല കോഴ്‌സും merits and demerits ഉണ്ടു, ഒരാളുടെ താത്പര്യങ്ങൾ സ്വയം തിരിച്ച് അറിഞ്ഞ് course എടുക്കുക. കേരളത്തിലേ issue എന്താണ് എന്ന് വെച്ചാൽ ചുമ്മ തള്ളി കയറുക ആണ് Dr ആവാൻ , പല ആൾക്കാർക്ക് മെഡിക്കൽ ഫീൽഡ് എന്ത എന്ന് കൂടി അറിയില്ല !

What is the need to study MBBS. You can become lecturer in government nursing college and get the same salary that a MBBS doctor lecturer gets in government medical College.. Government nursing college professor and government medical College professor get the same salary even though one is nurse and other one is doctor.. It is better to go and study some other course. Private hospitals give very low salary to MBBS doctors... Government school teacher gets more salary than doctor in private hospital. Government school teacher works for 200 days in a year, 8 hours per day. Total.. 1600 hours per year.. Private hospital doctor has to work for 320 days in a year, 12 hours per day. Total.. 3840 hours per year.. So, even though the private hospital doctor is working for more than 2.5 times hours compared to government school teacher, the government school teacher gets more salary.. Also in government service, All types of doctors have the same salary... That is in government service, a Government MBBS doctor, BAMS, BHMS, BDS and veterinary doctor all get the same salary... But, the work load of a government MBBS doctor is much greater than that of government BDS, BAMS, BHMS, vetinary doctor etc... Government MBBS doctor have to do night duty, casualty duty etc... While government BAMS, BHMS doctors do not have to do it even though they are getting the same salary... Also, in government service, lecturers in medical college, nursing college, pharmacy college, vetinary college are all getting the same salary, even though the doctor has passed MBBS and the nurse has passed nursing and pharmacist has passed pharmacy, vetinary doctor has passed BVSC ... Also, government lecturers in BAMS, BHMS, vetinary are getting the same salary as MBBS... But, are doing only half the work load of MBBS.. Also MBBS doctor has to take great risk and have to face medical negligence cases and may get assaulted by relatives of patients. While other occupations don't have this risk.. There are 91,927 MBBS seats in India. There are 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 PG Diploma and 1,338 DNB CET seats. Total of 42,077 Post graduation seats in India.. So, only less than 50% of MBBS doctors will get admission to post graduation... So, do not study MBBS thinking that you will get post graduate admission later. When you pass MBBS at 22 years, you will find that your school 12 th standard classmates who went to study BTech are getting more than 5 times your salary.. Example.. if you get high rank in NEET and study MBBS in AIIMS Delhi, private hospital will give Rs. 50,000 (50 thousand) salary per month.. But, if you get high rank in IIT JEE and study in IIT, private companies will give you 5,00,000 (5 lakh) salary per month.. Also, instead of wasting time studying all subjects of MBBS, if you study any other graduate course and use one-tenth study time and effort to prepare for some state public service commission examination or UPSC examination to other government posts, you will get employment in many government posts in various departments that have the same salary as government doctor, but need to work only less than half the duty time of government doctor. Also, if you get any Visa to go to foreign countries, the MBBS degree from India is not recognised in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia etc and so you have to prepare for and pass the qualifying examination of those countries to work in those countries. And so you cannot do any job in those foreign countries without passing the qualifying examination. Less than 50 % of doctors who appear are able to pass these qualifying examination. Many doctors from India who married foreign citizens and went to those countries were unable to pass these qualifying examinations and are now doing other kind of jobs like cashier in supermarket, bouncer in bar, security staff.. But, if you have passed any other course like BTech, BSC, MSc, bcom, etc all these degrees are recognised in these foreign countries and you can get job without having to pass any kind of qualifying examination.. So, studying MBBS is a waste of time. Less than 50% of MBBS doctors get government job and less than 50% MBBS doctors get post graduation admission to MD or MS. Most MBBS doctors are doing very low paying job in private hospitals. Also, in government medical education service, medical college professor, nursing college professor , dental college professor, vetinary college professor, homeo college professor, Ayurveda college professor all have the same salary... though allopathic doctors have more than 5 times the work load, the salary is same as that of other doctors.. Also, in government health service MBBS doctor, BDS dentist, Ayurveda doctor, homeo doctor , vetinary doctor all have the same salary.

Government has to reduce the working hours for doctors and ensure they are paid well and provide enough security to doctors. So we will have more skilled doctors in future also. This is what developed countries like Canada are facing. Doctors are leaving such countries due to stress, long working hours and unerpaid.

Yes, athokke correct aanu, pg also you will have reservation there. Good salary, high position okke kittum. But afmc is very different from other medical colleges. Some aspects of army life will be there, like 1st yr morning pt drill okke compulsory aanu. Also there is a significant bond, kore varsham avde commit cheyyanm. Search for afmc bond, you will find the details. If the bond is ok, afmc is a great option

Regarding maths, it's wrong to think that you don't need maths in mbbs. Epidemiology and statistics is a part of community medicine. You will be made to do presentation on data collected by you from general public. And you should have to calculate things in first year mbbs as a part of biochemistry. I have seen students struggling with division and multiplication. Calculation based questions are part of OSPE sometimes. Fir eg calculate urea clearence etc. if you take mbbs you also have to do post graduation. There is something called thesis. Even if you pay somebody to do statistics you have to atleast tell them what to do and calculate. 😂 And dose calculation of drug prescription is another thing during practice.
