What is Affidavit? | By Ishan [Hindi]
An affidavit is an official written statement setting out the facts of a case and it is considered as the proof of a case. It is the main method to present the facts of the case to a court. It must be promised, or declare, usually before a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner of Oaths or solicitor, as a true record.
Affidavits may also be a promise by a third person in support of a case. The court has a model form to use and there is limited opportunity to give a personal account of your evidence in court. More evidence is provided by affidavit. This allows a case to run more quickly and efficiently as all parties know what evidence is before the Court.
Why are affidavits important? :-The facts which you depend on your case can be introduced by affidavits, i.e the evidence of the case. Oral evidence is only allowed with the Judge's authorization so you need to produce your affidavits carefully.
What can you say in an affidavit? :- The statement of facts is called the affidavit. So the statement should make observations without colour or comments. Generally the affidavit should not set out the judgement of the person making the affidavit. The length of affidavits depends on the complexity of the case. The affidavit need not to be lengthy, but can’t leave out any relevant information as you may not get a chance to add it in later.
What does an affidavit look like? :-The affidavit should be printed or typed only one side of the paper. The content should be divided as numbered paragraph. The content is divided into different sections under the headlines is more perfect method to write an affidavit.
Affidavit can be asked accordingly by the authorities from the applicant. Have a look at few examples:
1.If the person is applying for the Education Loan than Banks ask for Education Loan Affidavit pertaining few details about the student.
2.If the person wants to take admission in the college/university after the gap period than various colleges ask for Gap Year Affidavit explaining the valid reason for the gap.
3.If the person is applying for Passport than department ask for various affidavit called as Annexure according to Situation for ex: if the married applicant is applying for passport than department will ask her to present Annexure D affidavit.

Thank you my dear I have observed that lot of government Companies officers who have no authority to give affidavit are giving affidavit and Advocate and Judge are protecting them All things are done bogus Not even that Advocate appearing in the matter is appearing without authorisation because his Vakalatnama is signed by the person who have authority but many time Advocates who are appearing in matter are relatives of High Court judge are used and so lower court neglect and favour him If client triet to bring to the notice of court or any one he is playing lot of games wiy that person and his family members means he goes below levels and professional or persons who are living in society eitbr white collar are doing lot of wrong having a connection with those people so naturally Commonman can't approach to give punishment to such types of persons Because our judiciary and lot of things are spoiled beyond expectations It's uncertain that you will get Justice from that people I am staying in Pune and I have experience of lot of trouble are created by the government itself Societies registration is cancelled with some intention Lot of harrassment is given through society's management Do avoid to bye flat in society because her religion factor work Due to lot of arrangement made in the government we cannot do much so think over this matter put before experts and ask them to take direct action on that Advocate or judge's who had worked in that matter and favoured those wrong doers To fight against those wrong person is not easy Jo for commmonman because he is doing lot of arrangement for blackmailing him I am mentioning in the large interest and hope any it will reach to the Zbsr Council of India or Supreme Court Advocates or judge's

मेरे पडोसी के साथ गली के लिये रास्ता छोड़ने का affidavit बनाया गया । बाद में बातचीत हो कर अब अपनी दीवार हमने आधी-अधूरी खड़ी की थी कि उसने केस कर दीया है। केस मे झूठ लिखा है की उसकी गैर हाजिरी में हमने दीवार खड़ी की है। हम पिछले दो वर्ष से केस की तारीख मे जाते है और कोई सुनवाई नहीं हो रही । वो हमे पांच साल तक केस को चलाने का दावा करता है और मोहल्ले मे हमारी मजाक उडाते है। वो अमीर है और उसका काम जमीन खरीद बिक्री का है, जमीन माफिया से उनके सबध है। आप से निवेदन है कि आप मेरी मदत ।।। अच्छा सुझाव दे ताकि मेरी केस को कम समय मे जीतने मे सहायता मिल सके ।
