- Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) MPs have disrupted Parliament during President Jacob Zuma’s response to the Nkandla saga.
Zuma was giving MPs feedback in Parliament on the Nkandla upgrades when EFF MPs started chanting: "Bring back the money."
The fracas followed a question by EFF leader Julius Malema to Zuma about when he was going to repay money wasted in security upgrades at his Nkandla home...owl.li/Azss0
Zuma disrespects the Public Protector. Malema is telling it like it is, but the way this Parliament is run is in favor of the ANC.
im not a fan of EFF bt i think they are raising questions that we need 2know as the citizens of S.A...
" But we are not answered, we want the money" Looooooooooooooooooooooool She Rocks!
They have a valid point. Date and time of when he is going to pay back the money. Answer still outstanding!
This thing of point of order you hiding behind, killed me😂😂😂😂😂
I love Julius Malema, I may be white and dominantly Afrikaans, but he doesn't beat around the bush and clearly exposed the bias and contradictions in the parliament in this clip. EFF for the win.
i took a membership of EFF for this. this is why i voted for them
that lady at 5:32...but we want the money#lool that accent kills me
Lmao...I thought I was the only one who heard that....
Bump the cheese up!
Krkrkr tltltltl I must have repeated that 10 times just to her say "we want the money" and Holomisa saying "haibo!"
hahahahaha! i sooo wanted to see her face!
That 'haibo' at 5:21 just destroyed me...makes me miss south africa
I thought I was the only one who got that "Haibo" and it was Hholomisa who said it. The faces of the old members of parliment. I love South Africa
Exactly how parliament should be. Alive with vibrancy and debate.
"Disrupted" pfff. Sounds to me like they are raising a serious point (where is the money??) and Parliament is using bureaucratic methods to excuse themselves from having to give an answer.
Looks like the chair was more concerned with getting the EFF to EFF off rather than letting the president respond.
"Nkandla money must be paid, you can't hide behind presidency" lol
Isn't it ironic, they call each other honourable!
What a kangaroo court...its a joke...children running a large country!
He thought julius was playing.
" i am asking to be recognised" loll. "we want the money, Nkandla money"
we want answers...we want answers
lol great show ....we want da money
OF COURSE THE BABY IS BORN! THE PEOPLE OF SA MUST BE HEARD! - SALUTE JUJU THE VOICE OF THE VOICELESS!
I pray that someday, my parliament will be this democratic. unfortunately we are so deep in the web of corruption that all hope is lost. i hope South Africans realize what they have and don't take it for granted. take it from a fellow African, we envy such freedom.
If Juluis doesnt stand up to zuma who will?
Since when do you chase members of Parliament out of the House just because they have taken up a debate around an important issue in a pasionate fashion? This smacks of bully tactics.
I never really cared for Parliament TV. Now i cant wait for it every week :D Reality TV at its finest. Thanks Julius :P
This is our comedy😁😁😁 🇯🇲❤🇿🇦
This is our comedy 😂😂🤣🇯🇲❤🇿🇦
I got touched by the behaviour for a minute. Then realised although unruly. They have been (unlike all others in parlament) people who aren't willing to roll over and die. We can't hate what we get. Then go home and complain. Now it's in everyone's faces that this man is not paying and being slick about it. I'm not saying vote for EFF, ANC nor DA. All I'm saying if you don't like something, contest it.
i love how these guys are shakin up situations in Parly
I have to agree with the EFF on this one
As South African Citizen we respected the ANC for years, now we must seat and pretend like this matter is not being side line. No NEVER working class is tired of feeding these Ministers to live lavish lifestyle while poor South African go to sleep without food, no proper shelter, bad health institution, bad Education Institution. It is high they recall Zuma and his Deputy since their hands are dripping with blood of people who died without getting any sufficient service from the Public Institution. All the officials found guilty of corruption should not take part in Politics, they must be banned and face jail time like they do in the private sector. This ANC is taking away every penny we supposed to be putting towards developing our Country enough is enough.
The captain of the Titanic refused to recognise an honorable iceberg, it went down.
This behavior is so uncalled for, I honestly don't know why madam speaker is condoning it all. I would've warned and thrown Julius out the first time he spoke out of order.
No one is honourable in that house
no ways these people are bias ,poor eff members are being oppressed.the dweepy part is that they are all being personal
Eff is absolutley right, but they don't follow right channels
Why is the house not allowing the president to answer the questions raised by the eff, I think the nadam speaker should have just allow the oresident to
answer
s.a parliament needs to drop this bs of addressing each other as honorable. it sounds ridiculous.
"Haa we want the money" 5:30...that killed me kwaaa!
😂😂
Guys this is so embarrassing. The president is like a father. Imagine ur dad being humiliated like dat in public. The EFF needs 2 learn same manners. They might hav a point but dey addressing it in an unruly manner. They must grow up.
honourable politician? A contradiction in terms?
Never trust any politician, all out for their own gains
yes about time someone took on zuma, well done Julius u got my vote even if do not believe in your politics
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the question raised by members of EFF
I don't understand why fully grown people would act so chaotic and animal like...what are we supposed to learn from the elderly leaders,if they cannot even behave in a dignified manner??
Lol... I really wanted to say something of worth... but I couldn't
THE WHOLE OF PARLIAMENT IS DISRESPECTFUL AND DISHONEST, THERE'S NO POINT OF ORDER.LOKL.
EFF is the best, the African God send us EFF to save us. viva EFF, Viva
Worried about this administration. Tis like drunk parents arguing in front of kids.
i understand EFF is trying to be South Africa's voice but their behavior is totally unacceptable and childish! how are they even calling them honorable? calamity!
how are these people allowed in parliament? where is the respect? we all want our questions answered but there is a certain way of doing things.
Honorable speaker taaake yooour seat HONERABLE SPEAKER wheres the money where our money LOL
Mbethe favours the ANC I think she is unfair to the EFF
I think He should pay the money
the chairperson (lady) is an ANC member. I can tell
Can you believe this circus! What a joke - how embarrassing . What a dishonest man Zuma is. How humiliating for all South Africans . Well done Malema
"Nkandla money must be paid!"
Point of order my foot!
I do agree that the way it was done was inappropriate and distasteful, but its a question that every South African asks themselves. Many other political parties have tried but failed to get any answers. I believe that the EFF is doing a good job at raising these issues that is continuously being swept under the carpets of our government.
They should do this somewhere else, it so boring for old people like them in such a respectful place...
The funniest thing about this video:
I have always known the answer to the question that begins with "when" to have always been the numbers and words (day(word) , numbers(year, month and time), but until the president's answer, I think I have changed my mind.
is time for south africa to realise that adequate is enough ....truth shall be said out....
WE WANT OUR MONEY...WE WANT OUR MONEY good stratedgy kinda sad... wish the whole country knew whats happening in the country right now #GameChanger
That hai bo @ 5:21 kills me
absolutely senseless
Two highlights: 1. The cool kasi accent of the sentence" We want the money!" at 05:30 . 2. Buthelezi's face at 07:52. Does he know whats going on. #Gatsha
African dictatorship need pressure like this we a tired
Why doesn't the lady allow EFF to ask Zuma the questions?? Is she helping to cover Mr Zuma?
R250 000 000 should be enough to fix some potholes
We want our money
The woman who interrupts on 05:23...one with thick-framed glasses is the best of the lot. Priceless..."But we haven't been answered. Haai...we want the money!" lol
Malema is right,he is reducing a fraud in a paliament,he agree to pay tax that he owed sars,so zuma must pay back
Malema is a direct threat to the ANC because they grroomed him as well as he knows the inside work! why is he being shut off whenever he needs answers? i thought parliament was the place where the president gives answers direct to the public as well as all budget speeches are made! why now they always being preotective in all apsects? hhaibo we cant have Zuma chow our taxes like dis!!
EFF is shaking the parliament for Good reason.
oh Boy
Lmao, didnt see this coming, especially not from the Julius
But we want the money!!!!
"Aphi ama polisa" lol the lady at the end of the clip
I don't like the EFF but I also don't think that they should be treated unfairly. From what I have seen thus far in parliament they seem to just get shut down and that isn't fair. No matter who they are.
Tyrone, EFF most of the time have a valid point but the manner that they behave is not appropriate for the house, DA use to challenge the opposition effectively without getting kicked out. They need to play the game according to the rules and behave. Right now their point gets shunt to the side cause they cause a spectacle.
Luxinthe Dark And exactly how far has that got the DA? The ANC needs to be challenged loudly and rudely.
Stephen Browne
Valid point. That's exactly why the EFF are acting in such a manner. Thumbs up for your analysis
Have we all forgotten that Malema also has stolen money from us hardworking tax payers.SARS had him under their magnifying glass before the elections for money laundering. how did that saying go" take the splinter out of your own eye before trying to help someone else. They are all corrupt, show me one bone in Malema's overweight body that is honorable. When whites were in government they too were corrupt. Each unto their own.
Jason Marx They are all corrupt of course but it should not be the case that we show favour in parliament or the courts. When someone is being targeted by the system then it is no longer fair. If the DA were being given the same run around we would have no end of moaning from those of us who support the opposition. They should all equally be held to account but should also be given the same space to exercise their parliamentary duty as appointed by the people. Let's not forget that even if we think that Malema is a distructive self seeking extorter of poor people's frustrations. He and his fellow EFF members have been democratically elected to parliament and as such they have a duty to represent their voters. That's how democracy works.
People are worried about barbaric behavior yet our country is being messed up in front of our eyes, they not bringing any solution as it is not affecting their lives.
We want the money
eff....go for it.....we want to know were the money is....simple.
Unacceptable according to whose standards and protocol? Thasanqa you and the bespectacled comrade have long lost the plot, you might as well emigrate to the UK and save us. Malema is on point and the nkandla fanatics just too blind to see
I love it! The ANC's own dogs are coming back to bite them. JZ's face is priceless. I an not an EFF fan, but good on them, the fact remains that JZ has stolen billions of rands, and SA is asking for justice.
I think its time for the president of the ANC to pay back our Money,EFF is ryt here when will Zuma pay back our money?
Only our President knows the answer, please give him a chance
a chance to do what?? the only chance he deserves is a chance to pay back the money
EFF has a point though, the President did NOT answer the question.
On this issues of EFF South Africa is going to fall down like other countries in Africa.
this very important before you do any thing think twice and make your final decision
@musa dube
Sometimes respect is taken for granted and as much as I advocate respect, sometimes you just have to be disrespectful; especially when the person you are facing thinks he is too big for you to disrespect him. Do not forget that respect did not put an end to apartheid; disrespect did. Furthermore, in this case, the eff did not break any law
Malema and his team are disrespectful. Its not about shouting at the president but getting the answer. If what Malema is doing is what South Africa want's, I'm afraid its not gonna be good for the country in the future.
You one ignorant person, they asked the questions dignified but they were shut down by the biased Chair
They should have let the issue be debated and the president would have gotten his corner respectfully.
Musa Dube are we watching the same footage?
I'm not sure but we should. I respect your opinion but I don't think I'm ignorant.
The story of South Africa under our new black masters: incompetent, criminal, corrupt and ill-disciplined rubbish in leadership positions - there is no hope while they remain in power, if ever Apartheid could be justified then the past 20 years under black rule is enough evidence.
the honourable chair is biased ....
Yip.... this is South Africa
" date and time"😂😂😂
Before I thought EFF was on the right path. But after this I think I must revist my views on this party. Here they have failed us. It seems as if they do not have the capacity to realize if they have won a debate. Here they have won this round but they did not realize it instead they went ahead and ruined it. Will they be able to know if they are loosing? It seems that age and immaturity is failing them.
This is like watching little children fight over who gets the marbles... None of them are very honorable now are they??
I have never been so ashamed to be a South Africa. These people are acting like children who have not gotten their own way. To behave like this in PARLIAMENT is nothing shy of disgusting.
Geeze.....whAt is this?
Parliament will never be the same again, EFF - Pay Back The Money Legendary I say
What is happening in parliament is totally disturbing.what kind of message are they sending to us? instead of working together as political parties they are fighting...they are just killing our country and can not see that.
Never before in my life have I seen such disrespect in parliament.
Is this the future of South Africa???
pay back the money pay back the money viva eff viva
Julius Malema and Steve Hofmeyer are the two sides of the same coin. A coin that profits this country nothing. When is Steve Hofmeyer going to ask FW De Klerk where he got his money to buy the the R 30 Million mansion in Fresnaye in 2007. (not even mentioning his Paarl wine farm)
It seems all the time EFF are threaten at the parliament
