This anime is based on the light novel of the same name by Kei Sazane, who also did Our Last Crusade of the Rise of a New World.
Our Last Crusade was also such a good anime and. I loved it.

People lowkey hating on the anime, i read the comments on reviews and decided not to watch but since I was bored I decided to watch it and it isn’t that bad, pretty enjoyable so far.
I personally love it myself, I feel it could go somewhere. Awesome characters, decent pacing and most of all pretty entertaining 😅

The OP is excellent, but I don’t think it really fits the show. It’s super intense and upbeat, hyping you up for action and conflict; but there’s no stakes or tension in the show because of its low-comedy aspects and it’s casual “enjoy the games” attitude. I like the song and the anime, I just don’t think they fit together.
6 episodes in, and I'm bored out of my mind watching Pokémon is more fun and I would rather chew off my foot than watch that
