This is more of a technique than use of ambidextrous. Using your less dominant hand to get more organic work. It's a great technique and he did a lovely job.

This reminds me of a 98 year old man who came to every one of my art classes I taught at the senior day center. He was a pastor, painter, and farmer all his life. He was one of the kindest and luckiest people I've met. His hands would shake painting, but i actually really loved the movement and style it lent his paintings. He passed several years ago, but i have a watercolor painting he made for me framed still. A person with a red backpack walking in the distance away down a country road. 😭

This is more likely cross dominance. He mostly uses his right hand, and only his left for certain motions.
