These guys give fantastic tips. One of the most important aspects based on my experience is the transfer tape you use. It can wreak havoc on your piece if you use the wrong type. A clean surface is also a major key factor in successful adhesion. One of my biggest challenges since moving from the much smaller Curio to the Cameo is working with large rolled media. Especially off the cutting mats. If you just peel them off you can ruin/wrinkle your cut. I take a metal ruler and slice it off the mat, this way the vinyl comes off flat. Have yet to see on video on this subject anywhere on YT.

@@RDIdecals Do you ever use any type of magnetic material or just vinyl? Trying to figure out how to do this myself with a Cricut and permanent vinyl. Thanks.
You can also use an old roll, to apply transfer tape. Just tack the leading edge of tape down. Place the old roll on top of the mask, and roll it along your weeded graphics, it will push the mask roll along and give an extremely clean and smooth application. Then squeegee.

Another great video. Your crew does amazing work! I don't do a lot of vinyl on vans but occasionally I'll get asked to do one. What is your method when applying. You look like you don't spray the surface down. How do you not get any bubbles and if you do what's your secret on getting them out? Is there a link to the transfer roll? As a professional - start with a Graphtec CE7000-130 (1200mm)
Smaller also work but need much more time for bigger projects

Nice work. I might need to upgrade my machine cause my cameo 2 only works good for small stickers. Any time I try to cut long stickers my vinyl seems to go off alignment and gets messed up.
Having a bigger machine than 12 inch will always open more doors for your decal business we encourage you to do research and watch ratings and feedbacks on the machine you planning to get 😊

If its a bigger cutter. You can take on larger jobs. Do more research on big signage.
At that price it would be a Roland printer, cutter so you can make full colour sticker and posters.

We have not yet tested or worked with any cricut but if you want to make big decals make sure it’s one that would let you use vinyl rolls

Hello well pricing depends on many factors, material used, difficulty, labor, place you live but here in USA in the state we live pricing for this type of projects can go from 800 to 1100 but again it all depends on many factors, we don’t have a shop or employees so we work from home and its 3 brothers doing this so our price can be more flexible but even here in USA every state is different pricing you have to do research in your local area

Hello! We use our RTape ClearChoice AT75.1 for almost all applications except when applying on wall. So far we haven’t had any issues when using that transfer with metallic vinyls. We have heard of people not getting the same results but I guess weather plays a big roll. Thanks for watching!!

We also use high performance Oracal 751 for special surfaces.

How long does the vinyl hold up?
Oracal 651 lasts 4 to 5 years outdoor according to the company and we can confirm it’s accurate
Definitely accurate and if you take care of it will last double that
651 is whats called a calendar vinyl. Its the vinyl that will crack easier. But the cost is 1/4 of 751 cast vinyl which doesnt shrink and crack. The process to make either product is a bit different which changes durability. Old sign guy.
