    • @MrLAntrim
      @MrLAntrim  Před 4 lety +1

      These are the most common ones, but they are certainly not all of them. I left off verbs that are derived from others and have similar/same participles. I also left off obscure verbs that most learners won't need. It is still quite extensive, however.

    • @MrLAntrim

      I say "ist" when a verb generally uses it, but the problem with learning like that is there are exceptions. fahren - Ich BIN nach Hause gefahren. Ich HABE das Auto nach Hause gefahren. It is better to understand the why behind the grammar and not just the what.

    Wiegen and Waegen mean same?

    • @MrLAntrim
      @MrLAntrim  Před 4 lety

      Sometimes, yes. Where they differ is in the figurative language. Wägen is used for most figurative uses of "weighing". If you are weighing a decision, for example.

    • @fremejoker
      @fremejoker Před 10 měsíci

      No, they don't. You use "wiegen" if you actually weighing weight. There is no real usage for "wägen", because it is outdated (you'll sound weird then), but "abwägen". Nobody will say "Ich wäge die Entscheidung." but "Ich wäge die Entscheidung ab.

    Is treten "tritt" or "trat"? I've seen that people say "trat" a lot, but it should be "tritt"?????

    • @MrLAntrim
      @MrLAntrim  Před 5 měsíci

      Both are correct, but it depends on what the use is. If you are talking about the present, "tritt" is the correct form for the er, sie, es conjugation. If you are talking about the simple past, use "trat". Same verb. Different forms. Different tenses.

    • @MrLAntrim
      @MrLAntrim  Před 5 měsíci
