    I didn't get to make these for the bazaar but I've spent most of this morning making this cane. I did this cane a a year ago which did not turn out well. I tried it again and absolutely loved it! It's important to take my time to follow a tutorial being dyslexic can go one way or the other. This time it went the right way. People loved the earrings and pendants I made with this tutorial. So, using my winter time to make my favorites for this spring! Thank you so much for your tutorials Deb, I still love them! Miss the group!

    • @clayboutique
      @clayboutique  Před 2 lety

      Thank you!
      Really just to add a little more translucency, and to tone down the color. Also, you may have seen that I didn’t completely mix the colors into the trans. Again, for more translucency and overall depth.

    • @clayboutique
      @clayboutique  Před 2 lety

      And just as a side note: I didn’t have any other colors that would suit this technique, so used what I have, which happened to be (some) Cernit trans colors. You can just use any other colors that you may have, but if they’re not translucent, add less.

    • @clayboutique
      @clayboutique  Před rokem +1

      When mixing clays always go with the higher temp, to ensure the others cure. Polymer clay doesn’t burn until it reaches a temp of 350

    Thanks for sharing, I love watching your videos. A question about resin. After it comes out under the UV lamp, the resin remains sticky, do you have a tip what to do?

    • @anvan47
      @anvan47 Před 2 lety

      If you’ve cured your UV resin for long enough, you might have a brand that stays sticky, it’s happened to me. Sorry, no brilliant suggestions.😔

    • @clayboutique
      @clayboutique  Před 2 lety

      If it’s still sticky, you either need to cure it for longer, or you just have a bad batch. It happens. UV resin typically only has a shelf life of six months. I’ve had batches that just never cure, no matter how long I left my pieces under the lamp. I threw it away and bought a new bottle.
      I use this brand, and have never had a problem, since:

      @clayboutique  Před 2 lety

      @@irenehill1209
      I’m not really sure what you mean by ‘different.’
      Cernit and Premo colors are gonna differ a little bit, and it’s going to differ if you use colors that aren’t metallic or pearlescent. Mixing premo colors into trans isn’t necessarily going to give a different outcome, overall, though. The only thing I would suggest, is, if you’re using Premo colors to tint the trans, as opposed to Cernit trans colors, then maybe use a little less of it. It all depends on how vibrant you want the colors.
