I Love this. An absolutely first rate experiment and prototype. And, once again the little LM386 is there to provide the power. If there's a coil necklace what's the point

I don't know about that microphone: the magnetic field from the necklace would work cause the microphone to pick up the frequencies on its own. Try again recording with and without the magnet or put the magnet on an acoustic amplifier like a plastic cup and see if the microphone works off that.
Can I use another thing better than copper ?
Can you give a complete parts list? What is the cable that connects the copper necklace to the breadboard? Awesome video. Looks like you got a pretty amazing result for a super low price.
Go to your local electronics component store: they'll tell you what magnet wire is. You don't want regular coated wire: too bulky from rubber coating.
I like the idea of having sound via magnets either inserted or implanted in my ears, but you do point out a good point it is mono. Gotta find a way around that by the way what is the range on that coil? I assume it is fairly short ranged.

i have just tried to make this with no luck. Anyone have any idea why im getting nothing? does taping the necklace up completely affect anything? i just have two single ends of the necklace going into the amp. Any ideas?

What is the minimum distance between the earpiece and the wire loop to make it work, and hear the sound?
optimize the sound, make the ear plug ins/magnets a bit sexy in the same process and make a lot of money with it, maybe it ruins every cell phone close to it, but in the end, maybe you can make underwater earphones with it! :)
terry the capasoters just need to be over 18 v that is the max it can take and you only need 18 volts to power the amp

What is the effect of use a larger diameter wire vs a smaller diameter wire? I have bought these before online but they always stop working after a wire. I suspect the wire coating rubbed off and short circuited. Thanks

+YASH THAKUR if you have amplifier input voltage 9v your capacitors voltage must be more than 9v,per example 10v at least. 16 volts will be perfect. Cheers
