    Fun fact:

Had Nintendo taken them up on the pitch, it would have released before Super Mario 64.

It has to be TimeSplitters for me. Every single one of those games, especially TimeSplitters 3, were just great. So many characters, so many levels, so much fun and joy in playing it as a kid. It was so camp, it never took itself too seriously, and it just played so well, and still is a great game today! Welll overdue a remaster, that unfortunately I don’t think we’ll ever get 😥

Champions of Norrath and Champions: Return To Arms need more love. They're often overlooked by Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1&2, and The Bard's Tale, but Champions, especially the sequel, has more to offer than the other games. Being able to choose a good or evil playthrough, adding some replayability, and being able to import your character from the first game was amazing back then.

A game that I have never seen on any list is Outward. It is a game with no leveling system. It is based on equipment in skill. There is a large amount of customization with many survival elements. You need to stay warm/cool as the seasons change or environment, fed, hydrated, and need to sleep. There is a camping and cooking mechanic. There are no set camping spots, you can camp anywhere but there are safe spots. If you don’t camp in a safe spot you have to dedicate downtime to keeping watch so you aren’t ambushed while you sleep. For food it rots and some is poisonous. With water you have to be careful of the source because it differentiates between stagnant, fresh, salt, and river water but you can boil it to make it drinkable. You need dry rations to go between areas because travel takes days depending on where you are. There is medicine to heal illness but it takes time, it is not instant.
There are even inventory limits which depends on your backpack that have different states. Wearing a backpack in most instances slows your dodge rolls. Some backpacks and builds don’t. You can drop your backpack in battle but then most of your inventory is unavailable. Combat and especially magic, takes planning. You can very rarely just go into large combat with no buffs.

My game that people don't seem to remember is Radiant Historia. It came out at the end of the DS's lifespan, right before the 3DS came out, and is an UNDERRATED JRPG. It's based around a split timeline with a time travel mechanic that allows you to jump between the timelines, allowing you to take skills and equipment, and most importantly knowledge, to the opposite timeline. It was really cool, and it got a remake for the 3DS that added a post game and some extra content, as well as voice acting in cutscenes. It was super cool, and it's honestly one of my favourite games of all time.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. The stained glass scene alone is worth the price of admission.
Religious themes can sometimes be a touchy subject. But in a day and age where Persona 5 can depict a Japanese high school student charging into battle with St. Michael and the four horsemen of the apocalypse by his side, and nobody seems to bat an eyelash, I think there may be more of a market for it today.

My list 1. Operation Winback for the Nintendo64. I remember buying that game in the bargain bin at GameStop for like 10-12 dollars. Took it home and didn't really expect much. Turned out to be one of my favorites games of all time. Not only that but It quietly revolutionized gaming...We seen it's mechanics in Metal Gear Solid, Gears of war and even Resident Evil 4. Such an underrated under appreciated gem than influenced alot. My number 2 would be Project Snowblind. I think originally it was supposed to be a Deus Ex. This game was a fun FPS and one of my favorite games on the original Xbox. I still am waiting for a sequel. 3. Full Auto on Xbox360. This game was just fun. I remember my girlfriend at the time bought it for me. Definitely one of my favorite games I played non stop. 4. Phantasy star Card on GameCube. I am not even a fan of turn based RPG or card games. Oddly I use to play this Fantasy start turn based card game non stop 😂. I actually beat a game that has two elements I am generally not interested. That speaks volumes about how good it is. 5. Honest NFL 2k5 deserves more love for being so ahead of its time and actually introducing society to the idea of algorithms with its Halftime and weekly highlight shows. 6. Jackal for original Nintendo. I feel like those over the head shooters or side scrolling games like ikaruga, Streets of Rage etc get alot of props. But this old school game is still one of my favorite games of all time. 7. Zero Tolerance Sega Genesis. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time. Fun FPS on Sega Genesis.

Wario Land 1 and 2 are also quite good, by the way.

I would also mention Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, a wonderful action/adventure game that takes inspiration from Zelda. It was a game I played on the Gamecube, and even today, it holds up really well. The visuals are nice and vibrant, the gameplay is nice and smooth, and its music is superb. My only negatives would be that there is no lock on system, so smaller targets like scarab beetles may give you a little trouble, but most enemies aren't difficult to land a hit on. And also, there's the biggest one, the ending. THQ clearly wanted there to be a sequel, because it ends on a cliffhanger, though since THQ Nortic seems keen on revitalizing some of their older games, maybe this one will see a remake in the future, as well as a potential sequel. Either way, it's still a great game that's easily accessible through Steam or by getting a copy on the Switch.

Chaos Legion, Radiata Stories, and Drakengard come to mind.
Chaos Legion wasn’t great, but I enjoyed the gothic setting and gameplay.Radiata Stories had so many different playable characters, all with unique personalities, and fun gameplay.
Drakengard might not qualify, since Nier are sequels to it, but the first one was very unique within the series. Loved the story, with all the endings, and I really enjoyed that leveling up your weapons changed there appearance and also gave you background story of the weapons

I would play the absolute hell out of a Croc remake!
A game I mention on occasion that no one in my life seems to remember is “Um Jammer Lammy”

Okay, the tongue-in-cheek counter was funny... even if it did make me think of the dark days of titular Whatculture.

I was holding out to the end of the video to see if it showed up but no one ever mentions I-Ninja😢 was one of my favorite platformers from the OG Xbox. But honestly have played it in well over a decade so I just have nostalgia goggles on lol

HOW IS THIS INDIANA JONES GAME:
    1)Set before temple of doom
    2) named emperor's tomb
    3) is somehow NOT about how Indy came to possess the remains of Nurhaci-an important Chinese emperor whose ashes are central to the inciting event of that movie?
I mean come on, story writers. You tee'd that one up for connection, and then just...completely wiffed the stationary ball.
