To get into Superbowl commercials, companies pay up to $500,000 for a 15 sec segment. By watching the whole thing, you're not only helping the creator, you're also helping the company not lose millions of dollars in revenue.

Well I'd rather her use this coz I definitely won't believe the results that came from JH herself lol.
The reason I believe this is because when people started to make videos about the probs with the lipsticks, we had chemists come out and say "it may be the product melting, or not being mixed enough." People said "it wasn't on my front porch, but who knows how long it was in the hot UPS truck..." Then Jaclyn's video used those EXACT excuses like 5 days later. I 100% believe she will use people's video lab results for her next deflection video. 💯

This was a small sample. I still wouldn’t trust it cause shards of metal in lipsticks is bad on it’s own. Perhaps if there were a larger sample size tested then maybe you’d find something. Cause clearly there is an issue even if there’s no mold
But as Kenna said. A lack of microbial contamination doesn't mean an overall lack of contamination.
Which means, yea they still shouldn't be used or be on the market.

There is no microbial or mold contamination and no common disease contamination, but obviously there IS contamination, it is just not anything dangerous. And we need to remember that some of the items found in these lipsticks were clearly put there by the person making the video...there are always a few who jump on the bandwagon when they see potential dollar signs!

Quedote lancine she sure as hell didn’t waste my time! At least now I know for sure that I won’t die from using the lipstick. Plus, nobody would believe Jaclyn if she said it, so Kenna did right by testing it. Now Jaclyn has some standing again. So I don’t think she wasted anyone’s time.
Quedote lancine actually the total plate count would pretty much say if anything was in there. It’s a very broad test that even if it did grow a couple, it would probably still be acceptable. (I worked on food and not cosmetics so I don’t know the exact requirements). So it’s not just the really bad stuff. However, as she said, it’s a very small sample size. If Jaclyn did quality control, the sample would have been much more representative.

Are we forgetting the swipe of the inside that tested positive for yeast... or the people cutting their lips on the metal pieces throughout the lipsticks or what diseases the animals (rats?) @@Catglittercrafts I know she said DNA, but I don't think DNA is necessarily what she meant, when all you need is proof that it's animal hair vs synthetic. With the hairs extracted from the lipstick sent to a veterinarian or some type of animal hair specialist, that would be enough proof. Who cares about DNA. It's not a murder, it's a rodent, who cares which one. Lol. (I read that last sentence back and I don't mean for it to come out as snotty or bitchy, I just mean if it's animal hair that's all we need to know, really.)

@@nekkobat6876 You'd be surprised how much research is not accepted in journals and never published because the results aren't interesting enough, or how much people refrain from reproducing findings because finding something again is not as interesting as finding it the first time. I'm a cognitive neuroscientist, and we see this all the time. Also in medication research for mental illnesses.
To get even deeper on this, there si a whole range of researcher flexibility that will make it easy for people to alter their results without committing ouright fraud. Those practices are called questionable research practices, which we legally can't really do anything about because they're not illegal, just... Maybe not best practice? Not all research is getting published, because journals are picky with what they want to publish. They have a status to uphold, and will only publish research that is interesting or shiny enough to make their reputation higher.
Only recently has there been a movement to publish null-findings. Certain journals have been created that only publish null-findings, which only goes to show that stuff like that wasn't published before. And please be aware that depending on the country, or the company even, there are wildly different regulations. For example, a lot of US food is not allowed in Europe because it doesn't pass our safety regulations for processing/ingredient disclosure. Similar differences exist for all kind of products, as well as medication and cosmetics. And even different states in the US have different regulations on top on the FDA ones.
We all trust you... we wont be mad if you want to reopen those packages and bust out your microscope and identify that fur by yourself! Next video?

I really think those aren't animal or human hair. The hair is really thin and if you see other videos with that famous microscope that many influencers did you will see that de human hair is really thick and you can see like a darker "core" and lighter sides. In the videos with the jaclyn cosmetics lipsticks its just a fiber, really thin and without core. (Animal hairs are more thicker than the human hair)
Meli Natalia ... I’m relieved, that in these tests, no micro contaminates were found so no one gets sick. But they still have foreign objects in them which by FDA standards is considered contaminated. Whether it’s a animal hair or fiber, fibers soak up sweat. I’m more grossed out about sweat in a lipstick lol

Glad to hear the results were negative but I still don’t know how I feel about having to hear this information from a CZcamsr and NOT the CEO of this company, who publicly shared she spent $100k on testing....
Jen Nikole she’s an actual scientist. I’d trust her over a “CEO” who is completely unqualified and hasn’t done crap all to be honest about her product.
If Jaclyn did this video or even tried to read lab reports she would be crucified because she has no idea what any of this means. We wouldnt either...That's why kenna broke it down for us. That's when someone like jaclyn goes to the experts and trusts their knowledge and opinion. Then she tells us in a 14 minute video what they told her was safe to use and that the lipsticks did not have mold. She told us that! She has people just like Kenna behind the scenes giving her the facts.

Nothing is growing on them but there's still hair, metal pieces, plastic balls and some gross spots that you don't find in cheap drugstore lipsticks which makes me think that her lipsticks were made in a dirty unsanitary lab that should be shut down.
This is just one batch. People have found mold in them.

As someone has performed USP and testing for years, I have three points to bring up: 1. Was suitability performed on the samples? If the lab didn't prove that they could satisfactorily recover microbes in the present of the products, then they cannot accurately say they weren't in the product to begin with. 2. The test for Salmonella alone takes a single 10g sample. In reality, you should have send around 20g of product, 10g for Salmonella and 10g for USP and the other USP organisms that only require absence in 1g. 3. I would like to know what they used to make the 1:10 dilution that yielded

I do not feel comfortable using contaminated products, regardless of if that is foreign objects or microbial! Contamination of any kind can be dangerous, as it is not supposed to be there.
This is what we need. A biochemist beauty guru...demystifying everything and answering some burning questions ^^

We should all be really happy with these results. It means there’s a chance a that a huge number of people are not at risk for health complications.

Relieved by the results, but the original fact remains. More than enough lipsticks had foreign material mixed in with them - which is unacceptable for any brand.

She only tested 4 shades and they came out negative but unfortunately this doesn't mean that other lipsticks can't be positive for mold for example! 🙁 But hope for the best of course!!

No microbial contamination in a very small sample doesn't mean there's nothing wrong. Selling $18+ shipping for a very bad quality, possibly expired, melting, breaking, full of hairs & holes, gritty lumpy texture, smelling bad and on top of it, all kinds of foreign particles in them is not okay!
She already pointed out, that regardless. They are contaminated and needing to be recalled

If these lipsticks were infectious ANYBODY prone to illnesses could have landed in the hospital seriously ill because to Jaclyn “ThEy’Re SaFe1!1!1,” even though they’re technically contaminated because the shit found in her lipsticks are not officially listed ingredients. Butt out already.

DerekSami VanDusen the ingredients may be safe, but the shards of metal and plastic can cause people to get sick. It can cause small tears that the human eye cannot see and they can get infected. Especially people with low immune systems. I am just happy that the ingredients where not expired.
Not that simple. If the hair is man made fiber after all like she claims then they may be *safe*, but if its animal hair, there's a good chance some people may develop symptoms due to allergic reactions.
It's very likely that if it was animal hair that it would not be sterile which would most likely lead to microbial growth. The fibers were most likely man-made. Still heckin' nasty. I was so excited for these lipsticks.
