I am real with my kids. If I have a hard day, I’m honest. And I just apologize when I’m not my best. They get it, and that helps!
I feel your discomfort of all the other “things” we have to do as teachers as well: those beyond the things we actually enjoy.
Just keep being real with us as your viewers. Your honesty is what keeps me coming back to watch!
The profession has changed so much! I appreciate the honesty. I can relate!
I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. Tis the season for teacher burn out. We all NEED this holiday break to come fast! I love my job……..but not lately. I teach kindergarten and these kids forgot every single rule and expectation there is. The talking never stops. I’m so exhausted by the end of the day. We need a reset so bad. You’re a great teacher! Whatever you put out there I love watching your videos. Thank you for being you and always keeping it real!! ❤️
Your students are so lucky to have such a committed teacher, Bailey! You are truly a ray of sunshine ☀️
I am a substitute teacher this year and it has been such a good break! I was also really burned out teaching and I am glad that I am taking a year off to think about what is next in my career. I might go back to full time teaching and I might stick with subbing...I have really enjoyed being a substitute with so much less stress.
Awe, I'm sorry you are struggling right now with teaching. Thank you so much for being vulnerable and honest with us. I am sure it's not easy and a little scary to bear your soul- you're human my dear friend( you feel like my friend and I would hug you if I could:)). The struggle is real and I truly believe we struggle for a reason...to get stronger and become better, more wise. Sending you wishes of love and laughter and happiness :)
Teaching/Education has changed SO very much in the 19 years I’ve been teaching. It’s really sad that we have so many “extras” which take the joy out of teaching. 3rd grade is my favorite grade out of all the grades, but it’s gotten to where I feel like I’m having to teach college level material to 8 year olds. 😢
10/10 recommend making salsa at home!! It gives that restaurant flavor and it’s super easy to do!
You are doing your best and that is all that matter and you should be proud of yourself 🤍 Your students are lucky to have you as their teacher. I love watching your content whether is teaching or not
Thank you for being honest. In my opinion, we would enjoy any content that you create. You’re not only inspiring as a teacher!
Stay strong Bailey! Positive vibes and love your way!! I would love to see a day with the dogs video. 🐕💗
Thank you for understanding how much of an impact your outlook on your job means to us. So many people talk about how bad it is to be a teacher, and as someone who is about to be a teacher, it’s been very discouraging hearing so many people talk down on the profession, that you’re aspiring to be. I just wanted to say thank you for being so kind.
I know teachers are required to always create something new, but sometimes, especially for one's own mental health, it is okay to teach off of a textbook.
My heart goes out to you, girl!! I am feeling the same way right now (special ed. teacher here). I absolutely feel you that the institution of education is challenging right now and I know many teachers are unhappy with the amount of "extra" stuff that we are required to do (and the learning standards in a post-pandemic world being really hard, basically impossible, to measure up to). Hope the break helped you get some much needed rest. It is TOTALLY ok to just approach each day as "I'm doing the best that I can" and knowing that it is enough! At the end of the day we are here for the kids and we are sometimes their only cheerleader/positive influence, so we have to hold onto that when things are hard. Some years are better than others and some years are just about...surviving! Sending you much love
I tried explaining the feeling after a day of teaching to my mom and she just doesn’t get it. It isn’t that other jobs aren’t hard/stressful/exhausting but it’s just a different type of tired after teaching for a day. It’s a deep brain mush exhaustion because your brain has just been going going going for the entire day
love ur vlogs! so glad u finally got a mic too lol
I want to try that pasta but I am vegan but I am pretty sure there is a non dairy boursin cheese, I think trader joes has it. :)
I’m sorry you’re feeling the burn out and stress so early in your career. I’ve been teaching for 28 years and I wish I could say it gets easier. Teaching has become harder and harder throughout the years and the shortage is proof of that’s. Hang in there😊
literally picante salsa
Mateos salsa taste just like authentic mexican restaurant salsa
Laura in the Kitchen on CZcams... restaurant style salsa recipe. It's so easy, just make it in a food processor and it's delicious!
