He was the most talented young boy ever. His voice is a phenomen, but isn`t it amzing how this young man used it. He had more coolness than many other adult stars, he sang his songs in three languages, he also developed his hobby horseriding to become a profession as well and he managed to enjoy this life. He was strong enough that he didn`t live the lifes of his management.
Way back high school days when I first heard this song and instantly captured my heart. Beautiful song and voice of a German talented kid who was once loved by millions. I'm very thankful that it's still played to this days.

Yep. I'm 48 years old and was madly in love with Heintje when I learned of him. My family is German, and we had some German friends in US who were very much into their German heritage. I had several Heintje albums back then!

I was born in Canada, but I grew up listening to Heintje's records. My family is Dutch, I came along after they immigrated to Canada. It was always Heintje and Donny Osmond for me when I was growing up. Ah, the memories. Thanks for posting. I'd love to know what he's up to these days.

Dear PowerCrumb45 i know what you mean, but in this case you are wrong. It's evident that Heintje wasn't pushed by anybody. He started to sing by his own in the restaurant of his parents as a little boy, he started the jukebox and than he sang, only for fun and because he loved to sing. Because of his incredible Talent he was discovered immediatley, he got an
in his way genious composer, the rest is history. Heintje allways sang for his own fun, this is one reason for his outstanding succsess.
And he bought his parents a house with the money because his father was suffering a disability from his days as a miner. That's a caring son.for you.

I wish there was a CD of heintje sing these english songs that I could play myself, instead of enjoying such wonderful singing on the internet.
Hope you are still around to read this and you can get a 3 cd set of the best of Heintje singing in German, Dutch and English off the internet. I have it and love it.

I think this has been dubbed because there are almost none English clips. And I don't think, that this is the work of Heintje's team, I think it has been arranged later by a CZcamsr, because it is a German TV appearance to be seen here. As far as I know there ist just one English clip, that is part of a German film. It is called "happy lad". You can find it easily on CZcams.
Love Little Henry and I recognize his voice, but this must have been dubbed later. He's not singing in English here.

Aber In der Nah aufnahme sieht mann Ganz deutlich das er es nicht Live singt weil das Lied passt teiweiße gar nicht zu den Lippenbewegungen
TheAngelika28 Ich denke auch das er nicht live singt. Das hat damals ja keiner in Fernsehsendungen, bzw. tun sie auch heute noch nicht. Aber das die Lippen nicht synchron sind mit dem was er singt, liegt eher daran das vermutlich im Video was verschoben ist. :-)
+TheAngelika28 +Liljarosario Unabhängig davon, ob er bei dem TV-Auftritt live oder playblack gesungen hat - Text und Lippenbewegungen können zwangsläufig nicht ganz synchron sein, da er bei seinem TV-Auftritt die deutschsprachige Fassung ("Scheiden tut so weh") sang und der Uploader hier die englischsprachige Version drüber gelegt hat. ;) Aber m. W. war auch der Auftritt hier in der Sendung "Musik aus Studio B" ein Auftritt mit Vollplayback - siehe zum Vergleich Auftritt in der selben Sendung mit "Liebe Sonne, lach doch wieder". (Und es ist ja üblich, dass in den meisten deutschen TV-Musikshows playback gesungen wird; heute wie früher).
+chris090282 Das mit der englischen Version erklärt auf jeden Fall das es nicht synchron ist. Sonst war meine Aussage ja auch, das es nicht am Playback liegt und das in den meisten TV Shows playback gesungen wird. :-)

Tacky, tacky fakery! The boy actually has a voice and talent. But every one of his German videos - like this one as well - is badly directed, oafishly manipulated, and does nothing at all for the singer.
